Received this email from a guy in Africa......Must be my lucky day!!!!!

Greetings!

Your Confirm able Bank Draft of $800.000.00 United States Dollars has been
deposited with PARCEL EXPRESS COURIER SERVICES, West Africa because you did not
respond to my first email and I was traveling out of the country for a 3 Month
Course and I will not come back till end of July so contact them.

Contact Person: Mr. Joe Briggs
Email Address: [email protected]

I have paid for the delivering Charges except their Security Keeping Fee of
$300USD which they said no because they don't know when you will contact
them in case of demur rage. so you are to pay the $300USD as soon as you contact
them.

Finally, make sure that you reconfirm your Postal address() and Direct
telephone number to them again to avoid any mistake on the Delivery and ask them
to give you the tracking number to enable you track your package over there and
know when it will get to your address.

Yours Faithfully,
Mr. Chris Walter

you can have some great fun with these guys, i string them along with some false details, they then email you asking for a scan of your photo ID, so i sent them a file that contained a batch command to delete all their items in my documents and the desktop, then shut down their machine with a nice message telling them to f*ck off :)

its great fun.

lol

i dont get them for some reason - just had a few when i sold my phone on ebay, and they're always from bloody africa

are they able to find out who sent it though? and you know "sort you out"?

not if you send it from an annonymous email, just create a hotmail account and send it from that, the exe file is sent as an attchment so it would need to be run by them for it to work, the icon is the microsoft word icon so it looks legit but the more savvy IT guy might be suspicious.

They asked me for a scan of my photo ID so i created the script and hid it in the exe file with a word icon, i then sent it to them and said it was a portable application scan of my drivers licence, if they did run it they will have got a nice inconvenient surprise.

they are really easy to do, if you get a command prompt up on your screen and type this command:

shutdown -s -f -t 200

your machine will shutdown on a 200 second countdown

you can abort it with this command

shutdown -a

so i gave him 2 seconds and a message with it telling him to fook off.

Oh and if they could trace the email it would trace back to AOL/SKY/Orange ect and not to your machine :)

They say that most of the time these people 'work' from internet bars, so this script probably won't hurt them very much. Also, these places may block exe-files alltogether.

Yeah some do, but internet cafe's now monitor and block people like that, in order to send spoof and spam emails i would think they use their own machines but other peoples internet so hopefully it will have been on his laptop, the .exe was zipped up so should have got through.

Its just a hopefull way of getting back at them, i got no nasty reply so hopefully he working like **** to recover his lost stuff the pig. :)
