Hello,

I thought it was a good time to try and return to this forum.
I was reading a few posts that some of you had left in the Limelight thread about why I had deleted my pictures etc.
I did it myself because I felt i had upset a few characters here on the boards with a few remarks.
Myself and Bollux did clear the air but I felt I needed a break from here for a while.
I will try to keep it civilised from here on in  .

Grant.

PS Sorry if I offended you Bollux.

Hi Grant

As i said in the U grade discussion it good to see you back here mate.

Regarding the Forum it is going good mate lots of us established members are posting actively here and hooking up on MSN. We had a few new members some come and a go others seem to be getting into the forum which is great. To be honest this forum is busier than the vintage section of RS in my opinion.

I noticed in the POTF yellow bubbles thread on RS it seems you have changed focus. What are you in the hunt for at the mo?

Jay

Jay and Plantman

Thanks for the kind welcome back.

I had been reading posts here even tho I had not been active in writing posts.

My collection is very small now. I still have the first 21 figures and a few other vintage bits but I have been trying to concentrate on building a small Luke farmboy focus.
lately I manage to pick up a

12A back Luke proof card AFA 90.
Loose graded Luke Skywalker / Telescoping sabre AFA 85.
12A back unpunched Luke Skywalker Telescoping Sabre AFA 85.
EarlyBird Kit with Luke Skywalker / Telescoping Sabre AFA 85.

The Early Bird Kit is totally mint. Its one of only 2 graded examples with a totally minty white offerless box.
This and the other offerless example that is out there are the 2 best examples to be graded by AFA so far.
I will upload some pictures when I have all the bits together.
Sorry if it sounds like im boasting here because im not trying to.

I sold of the Anakin POTF C/B 85 but I still have the Cromalin set aside for a guy so this helped fund the new Luke focus.
How about yourselves what are you guys collecting now ?.

Thank you,

Grant.

Thanks again.

Grant.

Wow mate nice, are you still wearing your misses gloves when taking pictures?

I miss that picture :(

Hey Grant :) It's good to see you around a bit more mate!Looking to forward to more pics of the focus as it grows!

Simply awesome items there Grant!
(and its not boosting its sharing i love seeing pictures of other peoples items ****ing love it!)

Im focusing on building a minty loose collection and Tri Logo MOC's at the mo.

If you have a Luke Farmboy focus then you may wanna check out this baby of mine!

Its a GDE Bi Lingual (French on the reverse) Canadian 20 Back B offerless Luke Skywalker.

It is AFA graded but the sticker just shows a standard Kenner 20 back details and doesn't
identify what it is. Its AFA 80 NM (C80-B-85-F85)

I did a lot of research when i picked up this item and so far its the only known example
to surface prior to this is was thought not to exist. Iv'e hunted far and wide for another
one but to no avail the closest i got was a rumor that a shop in Canada had one
in beater condition but it proved to be the boba fett offer GDE 20 back C which in its
own right is rare with less than 10 known examples.

Enjoy

Jay I really think you should keep that, even if one day you decide to get out of the hobby still keep it!
(If AFA were located or had a grading center in the UK then I would get it regraded to show what it actually is, but I don't think you should risk sending it over again - we can all see its not a normal Kenner release!)

Oh and just out of curiosity - if you sent it in for a U grade what do you think it would get?

Hahaaaaaaa i love it

Good to have you back on here grant! Like rafiki says in the lion king "it doesn't matter it's in the past"!

That poster is amazing, I love that image!

Joe - Sorry to disappoint you mate but I dont use the wives rubber gloves to take pictures of my items, i have my own set now  .

Jay - Thats an excellent Luke farmboy card you have there. I really like it. Like Joe said tho If is as a one of a kind card back i wouldn't sell it either.
I have an unpuched offerless Canadian Luke X Wing AFA 85 in my collection which is the only graded example of that particular card back as well so they would make a nice pair.
I hear that as far as Canadian SW items go there is about 10 times more of every figure produced under the American Kenner license than Canadian.

Thanks to all the rest of you for the kind comments I appreciate it.
I will look forward to catching up on all the posts I have missed out on over the past few months.

Thanks again guys.

Grant.
