Hello

My wife has a HTC-1 and a Sony Mp3 player and wants to know if there's a way of playing tunes from these devices through her Denon Hifi.

The Denon is a few years old but very decent. Being older it doesn't have wifi or Blueooth or anything fancy like that.

I was thinking maybe there's some sort of device available to plug into the auxiliary ports? :? Does anyone know of anything that will enable this?

Thanks guys :)

Easiest way is through an input mic on the hifi. Is there a socket for microphones? If so you can get a cable (or a cable and jack) to connect them.

We got a lead from Maplins that plugs into the auxiliary and it works fine. Only issue we have is the volume from our Sony Mp3 player seems to be very quiet when plugged into any aux port. It's the same with a cassette adaptor we have in our Mini (an 05 Mini Cooper with a freaking tape player ..what the ****!). Anyway, it's sorted. Thanks guys 8)

Hmm ...I don't know. I know the volume is turned up to max on the Mp3 player. Then you have to turn up the volume on the hifi to about twice what it usually is.

I'll ask the Mrs

Another way to do it is if the HIFI has a radio, by a radio tramisster that plugs into the Mp3 Player and plays through the radio. Can buy these from Maplins
