Ever buy job lots for a particular item. You say its ok il sell the rest and it will fund the item you really wanted out of it.

You then dont actually sell the bits you just hoard them for your spares box.

I couldnt be a dealer!

:D I'm exactly the same.
I would love to make a business being a dealer but I would just end up with an awesome collection myself I can never part with anything.
I have boxes all kinds of stuff that I had no intention of keeping when I bought it.

I have done it many times, I see a lot for a good price and then I say wow there is one or many items in that lot that can sell so I can get my money back and then I can keep the items that I could see in the lot that I did not have in my collection. But as a variant collector there is always a surprise in such a lot and I always end up with keeping much more of the lot that I was hoping to keep

But I have done a few deals where I get what I want and got my money back with a sale of the rest of the items :D

Yep. Have accumulated loads of **** over the years. Got a couple of small plastic boxes full of weapons, capes, backpacks, other accessories and figures etc. I don't even know where half of it came from!
Keep meaning to go through it and sell it but I never get round to it.

I fit into this catagory as my only rule in collecting is never sell anything Star Wars. :?

Oh definitely. Bought a few lots from various places and a couple from Vectis. I have just had a good clear out, though, and am feeling cleansed and the wife is much happier having seen money come from SW rather than go on it.

Well described poncho. That's exactly how it is.
But buying lots is big fun, kinda treasure hunt. I have dozens of boxes with stuff to get sold (and it will ... sometime).
Early on I sold much stuff on ebay, but it ****ed me up in the meantime.
So I leave that stuff whrere it is and always bring some items to meet ups with other collectors.
