HELP ! Required - Red (Burgandy SquidHead) / Lil Ledy Klatuu ??

Hello Folks,

I have purchased a Vintage Bundle which came through today, reason i bought was a potential variattions.
I'm not sure if original and need someones expert opinion.

First up was the Burgundy Squid Head, Gun is a Replica. Not sure about the cloak, never seen one with the red bank round the top.

Second is the Kaltuu with Furry Skirt. Not sure if the inside should also be the same cream/fawn colour.

Also in bundle was a Yoda, Snake looks real, sinks and all looks original.

Weequay and Gammorean guard both look fine and with original weapons, Madine was loose (good condition though) and Leia Bespin without Blaster, not sure if cape real (have original complete Leia and feels different)

Any help would be appreciated, especially with Squid Head and Kaltuu.

I would say the squid head cape, which is where your money is, is a standard hk one dyed red

Sorry to say, I too think you've fallen foul of fakes based on these pics. If it was a genuine Lili Ledy Squid Head you'd expect it to be sold alone, rather than tucked away in a bundle. Can I ask what was the asking price, who was the seller, and what did you pay for them?

It was bought from ebay - All 7 figures for £45 which thought was decent.... will re-sell prob WeeQuay, Gamm Guard, Madine and Leia Bespin as all got already - Thought would take a chance on the Squid Head and Klatuu (Will prob just keep) - would not want to re-sell a fake....

Yoda seems fine and needed a near complete one anyway, so not too much out of pocket, time i re-sell above....

Did ask the seller, and told was selling on behalf of son, started bidding at 0.99p and were around 9 bids...

Never mind, worth the gamble. i think!

Think the OP posted £45 for the lot

So not a loss as there is £30 plus in the Yoda if the snake is original.

£7.50 a figure so not lost, but a case if it's to God to be true it prob is on the ledi/ red cape etc

Agreed, you got a good deal there, if you sold the rest of the figures off ( minus Yoda and the repro capes on the other figures ), then you'd almost have a free Yoda. You'd be best off not selling via ebay though to avoid the 10% seller fee. 8)

Maybe it's practice, for when they try to make repros of rarer expensive items?

You can still see the black felt tip where the person marked out the skirt before cutting it, sorry Gordy i think that's what I can see in that picture

In fairness, Klaatu skirts are getting harder to find in mint condition. Obviously, I'm not excusing repro ****.

The Lili Ledy Squid has a different cape pattern to the Hong Kong version

There should also be a very small "LL" on the inside of the belt.

I guess you are right about that, but still strange to see that since klaatu is one of the cheapest figures :shock:
