Calling all SWFUK members, your opinions and advice needed.

Purchased a Luke Jedi baggie on ebay from US via this listing...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160925167967?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

As you can probably see in the picture there is a small hole in the groin area (obviously a piss hole due to longhaul journey), anyhow i missed that and it is not mentioned in the listing, you look on the other picture and again another small hole (yep a poop hole this time) but again i missed it but not mentioned).

Now i know when it comes to baggie damage ebay isnt that bothered as it is merely packaging and they dont understand the value or principal of having a untarnished piece of plastic that protects the other piece of plastic in the bag. So thoughts on that firat please????

Now the Luke pictured is definately not the luke i received as the holes on my baggie are in different places but more importantly on the right side of his face is a paint defect that proves without any doubt that the Luke in the listing pic is not the Luke i have received. The Luke listing pic looks amazing, alomst as if its been under an airbrush like with models on a magazine. The defect is like an out of place ear resting along the where the hair meets the face. I will attemp to upload a picture but it was very hard to photograph.

This guy has clearly got hold of a few baggies and has sold them using the same pic but he has not stated this in the listing so where do you think i stand and what grounds for a partial refund? Obviously if he says return it for a refund then i am out of pocket as i would only send it tracked to be sure of its safe return.

Please let me know your thoughts and if you need any further details dont hesitate to ask.

Wtf, i thought i uploaded 2 pics???? But they must be floating somewhere else on the forum????

There was a large case of these sold recently so I wonder if this came from that.

Best thing to do would be to contact the seller first and see if he will do you partial refund - there is no way that a baggie would grade AFA90 if it has holes (and there is no way the figure would grade AFA90U if there are blemishes)

From memory, I am sure I have seen this seller come up on RS but can't remember why

I would say Iain's advice is spot on.

A full refund would involve sending back across the pond at your expense, a partial refund would go some way to balancing out the poor description in the listing.

If he is selling lots of Luke baggies all his listings are private so you don't know what he is selling, contacting others he has sold to is a possibility but could turn up a blank.

Good luck either way.

Cheers guys.

Ive trawled rs forum and he does pop up on there although nothing untoward and a few people have confirmed pleasang dealings with him, tigerham being one of them.

I'll send him a messge explaining my disappointment with the overall quality of the baggie and his less then accurate listing.

Just one thing though and its my suspicious mind here, could he possibly be taking out the original lightsabre and then be replacing it with a repro with the intention of selling it on??? Seems far fetchex but the hole is odd and by my estimations just about big enough to squeze the sabre through? But why would these baggiez have holes on both sides, not just my one but also the one pictured???

Hopefully just paranioa on your part  The hole on the eBay pic looks melted, maybe he is just a clumsy hash smoker?

There was a thread about Palitoy MOC Luke Jedi with a blue sabre and a similar claim recently.

If I ever get my car fixed I will pop over and check out the light sabre, you could compare it to the other one you have. Oh I might even put some flooring down in your loft for you too while I am there.

It's probibly a genuine mistake if he has a few that are in the same condition but he should send you out a replacement IMO as the figure isn't Mint as described. The holes look like there factory made to me and that baggie pictured is in great condition, maybe he just grabbed the first one. Maybe Frank can confirm the factory holes, I know we've spoken about these before and I have a couple of baggies here that have them but not a luke Jedi so can't be sure on him.

Cheers snag :)

At present i am being open minded and giving him the benefit of the doubt, and i hope for a fair outcome once ive contacted him.

Even if he has a box of baggies (i know he had more than 3 as i have kept an eye on his listings after purchase) i believe in receiving the item you are looking at in the listing. You cant gtee that what you pull out of the box will be identical regardless if they are the same character and he has a duty to check the figure before he sends so at this moment i feel i have a strong case but i will need to wait and see what he is prepared to do.

I totally agree with mate and I expect to receive what I bid on when it comes to ebay, hopefully the seller will come good once he heres your case.

Well those floorboards wont get done by themselves :D and how much longer can you sustain the bulging cupboard, surey after xmas the goods will be encroaching onto the hallway :)

All resolved :) settled for a $15 refund and he seemed like a decent honest seller.

Thanks for the input and guidence :)

Glad you got a refund but from what I can see in the pics that hole is just the standard hole(s) that came with heat sealed baggies from the Jedi era, I have the same hole in my ackbar and Nien nunb Baggies, one in the front and back in the same spot it's just an air hole(s) and nothing to worry about as far as the holes are concerned.

The bulging cupboard

Is it Poltergeist that has the bulging door, thats pretty close to my Star wars Cupboard

I'm Glad that the seller came good for you mumbo, the factory holes can also be seen in this WM
