Alright there, Can anybody give me some advice on selling a couple of Star Wars Oil Paintings, they were given to me by an old business partner and are valued at £450 each.
A local auctioneer wouldn't take them as they were classed as modern art (2005).
I tried on Ebay and put down £99.00 start on each one (I don't do reserve prices) and had no luck.
Cheers.

you'll struggle to sell modern stuff...as you can tell by your auction that went unsold at £99, pics would be very helpful.

Avenue Gallery certified them, I'm trying to upload the pics of paintings and certificates but i'm having trouble, keep being told file is too big when I know it's not.
Be patient with my computing inexperience!!

What am I missing here? Valued at 450 but obviously worth less than 99 :?:

The majority of people who shop on eBay are looking for a bargain, you see more carded figures than oil paintings on eBay, I'm asking for advice.

Tbh I don't think these are worth much to guys like us. Your best (and probably only chance) of shipping these is to take them to a sci-fi con or similar. There're just too any paintings done in the modern area all of varying quality for them to be worth anything really.

Hope this works, have spoke to the artist today and he believes a Star Wars Exhibition / Convention would be the best way to sell them.

Sorry Obiwanslovechild but they look a bit ropey to me; I've have Nigerian scammers produce better artwork than that.

I think you'd be lucky to get a tenner for the pair on eBay and that's being kind. Those certificates aren't worth the paper they're printed on to be honest. Sorry!

Bit of scam baiting to pass the long winter evenings!
