Pulled my old box of Star Wars toys out of the cupboard at my parents place the other day, I've got them up for sale on eBay now. I've been getting alot of questions about the jawa with a plastic cape, any help would be good.

If anyone can give info ill send through some pics.

Yeah, I have two with a material cape/robe and one with a plastic cape..

In short a true authentic vinyl (plastic) cape variant will command a high price however there are a lot of fakes out there which are worthless so people are going to want to know which you have. Check the link poncho has sent you to see if you have gold or copper

Seconded, if it makes a zip like sound when scratching then there's a good chance its legit. otherwise if it's from your childhood collection from many moons ago then there's no reason to suspect it's dodgy.

Wow!!! Another person found a plastic cape(VC) Jawa :roll: I agree with the masses. Check eBay for recently ended auctions and then go from there. You should try and sell him in the FS section here first. Someone might need him for their collection. Good luck.

From reading the link above, the cape make a 'zip' sound when I scratch it with my nails, his eyes are bigger and his gun is transparent blue if I hold it up tothe light. He also has 1977 and Hong Kong stamped on one of his legs.

I couldn't really give two ****s if people think its 'fake' I've had this since I was a kid and still remember taking it out the packet. It's been in a box for 20 years so its really no loss if It goes back in.

These are commonly faked mate, get some better pics of just the cape up, then maybe people will
post some "better" comments.
Looks like you've taken it personally that it might be fake.
Responding in anger is a dead giveaway imo, so my advice is; settle down, take a deep breath, and get some macro shots up before you
start lashing out.
