Hey guys I have a few listings on eBay, this morning one of the items had bids upto just over £45 quid now tonight the same item is £25.33 I don't get it, can anybody explain and has this happened too you.

Thanks.

Someone has retracted their bid - if you look at the bid history it should be at the bottom (normally the seller has put in the wrong amount) - you should have had an email from Ebay confirming this

The dreaded retracted bid, definitely part of the dark side of eBay!
A member who had about 100 retracted bids in the previous 6 months screwed up my sale of a Mongoose Supergoose, people can retract all they want without punishment, its a pain.

Ah I see, just checked he has retracted two bids on separate days, what I don't understand is he bought a graded Warok on Dec 24th maybe he's bored and wasting time.

It can also be a shill game on the buying side. Two accounts...place a low bid with one...then trump it with a high bid with the other...then retract the high bid one at the last minutes...in order to get the item cheap.

I never knew that's what they I'd tbh, I've had no emails from eBay  so if they have the winning bid can they retract it without my consent?
