Good Bye Clone Wars and Detours

Lucasfilm confirm no season 6. Unseen episodes to be released on DVD at some point in the future as a bonus disc. Detours to be postponed until after Ep 7 at the earliest.

Not too bothered about CW as it was ready to end anyway. Starting to become a little lacking of ideas and milking the gap between Ep 2 and 3. My son was desperate to see detours after watching the YouTube vids but in another 3 years or so....???

The Clone Wars cartoon was incredible IMO. The writing was top notch, the animation was stunning and, most of all, it felt like Star Wars. Anyone who gave up after the film or the first couple of seasons really missed out. I was hooked.

I feel it has ended at the right time and on the right note. Really, really good and I urge anyone to sit down and watch them, in HD, on a big screen, with a beer or something.

Big thumbs up to Clone Wars, sorry you had to end.

While there were individual episodes and story arcs that I've enjoyed we must also accept that there were plenty of doozies along the way.

The show never figured out its target market and the toys weren't selling so the show was always doomed once it lost its toy franchise.

Makes me laugh that Dave Filoni now says the best is still yet to come. Well maybe if you had shown the best earlier in the season instead of boring senate episodes the show wouldn't of got canned.

I'm with the it was the right time to end side. I really enjoyed most of it but would like to see some new fresh material.

I've just thought something and this would piss me off right good and proper.....

If the bonus episodes/ending to the CW was only released as a bonus disc in the complete 5 season bluray box set.

I can see something like that coming.


It's one of the reasons I'm a bit reluctant to get the bluray for the first hobbit movie expecting an extended edition around the corner.

Shame- the animation, effects, sound and music was getting to such a high level.

Some of the story arcs were amazing as well, especially the ones that carried over from season to season.
