Gammy guard Axe

Hey guys I have recently bought a few figures off Ebay and did the float test on the hammy guard axe and it sank, should they float like most of the vintage weapons?

from tig 'float test : There is also a small number of originals that sink when the majority float - the Gammorrean Guard axes, Amanaman's staff, and two out of the three pop-up sabers are all sinkers, just to name a few. In addition to this, some original single-telescoping light sabers can float while some can sink!

Thanks Poncho, I did think it was real because of the feel to it and how it bends but was unsure, but thanks again mate for your help.
