I wasn't going to write anything else in this thread but must admit I have become a little annoyed by what happened with the Leia I bought from Chris. As you all can see I was the first to pm here and I know this thread is up on RS as well but at the time I contacted chris about the Leia she was available.
I wrote to say that I would take her and about what the the total invoice was with shipping. I also explained that I would pay later in the day as I was busy in the morning but definitely take her. Chris got back to me with the invoice and the deal was done. I then payed promptly but then was told that he forgot to mark her as pending and lost track of my sale?! My payment was refunded with an apology and a discount on anything else I wanted was offered.
I must admit I can't quite see how my sale could have been lost so quickly especially after pm's were exchanged and I mentioned to Chris that maybe the fairer thing to do would be to refund the person he sold it to as I was clearly first in line or else he wouldn't have sent the invoice to me. I've heard nothing from Chris so can only think that he doesn't think this should happen for some reason.
Some you win, some you lose (even when you win!), but I mention all of this so that if this sort of thing does happen in the future maybe the seller who's made the mistake could do the right thing to correct it. I certainly would if it was me as I know how much this can upset people and if I'm to blame then it's best to hold your hands up and do what's possible to rectify the situation.
