The c3po is in great shape only flaw is a small tear to the left of the bubble. No creases, card is unpunched. Will come shipped in a star case asking $400 shipped, open to offer's. Also have a Vader 12 back a a little sticker residue and slight warping of card, there is a slit down the left side of the bubble, i have this covered with tape, hard to see when it's in the acrylic case which does comes with the figure. Asking $300 for him. Will do both for $600

Re Vader

Is it a slit so the figure can come out? or a small slit as in damage to the bubble?

If second could be interested.

Pm me.

I've got to say that I don't like the look of these cards one bit. Maybe some clearer pictures would help but the seal on 3PO doesn't look right ( is the top right edge of the seal rounded as it looks to be at a right angle?), and if Vader has a slice on one side with tape over it then the price feels way off as it's an opened card back.

Just my opinion but I don't want someone to get stung here.

Ian

To the seller, it might help if people knew who you were. Do you post on the other forums or have an ebay account we can reference you to.

An introduction wouldn't be a bad thing either. We are trying to be more friendly around here these days, and we love to meet fellow collectors.

The Ink in the bubble background looks spattered from the inkjet and the basckside of the cardback has some awfully darkened colors.

The bubble does have a waffle pattern.....but those background colors in the bubble area looked washed out. I would be extremely hesitant to buy this.

That's the first thing I noticed with that 3PO card back. When I noticed the waffle pattern the only thing I could think of was that the bubble had been grafted onto the card back. I think a better picture is more than needed (might be worth cleaning those nails as well........opps, I forgot we're being nicer, bad Ian).

Here's a picture of the split. It is all the way down the side i had to lift up on it a bit for you to be able to see it. Pretty sure the figure had never been taken out. As far as the c-3po, as far as I know it's never been resealed, but it off ebay like 6 years ago for just a little less than I'm asking. I am open to offer's on either one. Trying to thing down my collection and yes I have done some trading on RS. Also have an ebay account though I refuse to pay them there high fee's username babs2thebone-Bubba

As I expected, the 3po looks Like a blatant reseal to me.

I believe based on these pictures we have a real cardback with a real bubble. The background bubble area was repaired(Printed, cut then glued down)as the orginal background was torn away from the card...then everything reassembled. Worth the price of C3PO and a loose cardback w/originial bubble. ($50.00)

You can see in the 2nd series of pictures where the printed piece was cut as it is lighter in color and they did not perfectly line up the background with the original.

Well hell I'll be damned, owned it like 15 years.. I'll have to look at it closer. I sware I can't see any difference just looking at it head on..I wonder if it's not the lighting. I guess the only way to know for sure is to send it in the afa which i was trying to avoid, since they've been shady with me in the past

A picture, no matter what lighting or angle, is not going to make the bubble background print be offset from the rest of the cardback. It's a reseal and should be sold as such.

Good spot and this might also explain why the top right corner of the bubble doesn't look right, I think it's been cut and is missing a bit of the seal. Also there would never been any yellowed glue near the seal where you can see it on the left side.

I feel it's really not worth sending off to AFA but if it'll put your mind at rest it might be worthwhile. Just shows you that people have been trying to con people for years with vintage Star Wars. I remember the first 12 back palitoy Darth Vader reseal I had was sold to the original owner as a MOC. It had a repro footer and although the seal wasn't bad it was pretty obvious in hand that it was a sealed example. sometimes you have to make a few mistakes to learn what to look out for.

I sold it as a reseal off facebook for $100. And I'm waiting for payment on the vader took an offer of $200 for it. Though I think it would probably still grade a 60 or so
