4 sold in 24 hours with 1 left, I presume there will be many more for sale.

Glad I already have my free coin sticker offer in my 2-1b focus already!

And along will come inflated moc figures with planted offers...ah well :(
indeed...... the community needs tobe careful at least swfuk memebers and rs are aware of these stickers in circulation

Are the same ones...

The buyer had 19 feedback and the new seller has 1028?

probably gave a second chance offer to someone, maybe used the 19 feedback account to bump the price?

Even if it isn't those from the roll, it's still sad to see them selling so well.

Do they really add so much value to a MOC?

It's likely these are different stickers to the unused roll.

The seller "Robertwolf" is/was a member of RS for a long time and by the looks of it has been selling off parts of his collection recently, I would assume he has had these for a while.

As for them being dangerous once in the wild, ordinarily I would say yes, especially if sold cheaply enough for someone to experiment with but at $150 a pop (which to be fair is about the going rate for one of these believe it or not) I'd say no, not for this batch at least.

It's far more likely the few he has sold have ended up with coin collectors or mail away collectors and are not going to be doing any harm any time soon.

With that said, it always pays to do your homework when paying a premium for a sticker variant - they are easy to fake and while they are genuine documented examples of coin offers on SW figures right through to POTF they certainly aren't common on anything else besides ROTJ figures and ESB peg warmers.

Makes you wonder if the 'POTF with coin sticker' rare variants are actually that genuine in the first place. The jawa version has been proving elusive - is it a genuine variant, who knows? Even if it is a genuine variant you have no idea when the sticker was put on. Same for any, I suppose.

If any suddenly start turning up, I will definitely be suspicious and disbelieving.

I would have purchased one if they were not all sold but maybe $150 is a bit too much but i would put it in a nice custom case to display as got no interest in having it on a card.

Wish I had seen this post 2 hours ago........wonder if a member here purchased the last one after seeing this thread ?

Maybe worth contacting the seller just in case they have an others.

I was buyer 4/5 on one and was actually surprised they lasted on ebay for as long as they did. I actually slept on it because I wasn't 100% sure I wanted one bad enough to pay that, but it is something I ended up thinking I'd regret on passing on later. They've sold for $100 in the past and that was several years ago now. Based on the buyer feedback, I believe at least one other went to another coin collector, but wouldn't be surprised if they all did.

I'm with Joe though in that at this price it isn't worth sticking on a MOC to try and make a profit. To do so you'd have to do it on a 12 Back or some other rare variant which will stick out like a sore thumb. In general MOC collectors stay away from this particular sticker because it covers up so much of the card. The scenario that I certainly would more worry about would be someone finding a roll for cheap and then using them to cover up damaged ROTJ figures. That's just not going to happen when you're paying more than most ROTJ cards cost just to get the sticker.

After reading the thread I had a look through my cardbacks and found this Free Coin sticker on a Rancor card. A well travelled card as it has a US and a UK price sticker on it.

Odd thing I noticed was the sticker overlaps the shop price sticker. I'd have thought the factory would have stuck the offer sticker on and not the shop selling it. So how did it end up on top.

These stickers were actually sent to shops to put on existing stock rather than being applied at the factory. That's part of why in general they could technically be found on any cardback. It would just depend on whatever the shop had on the pegs at the time.

When I first saw the thread I didn't click on the eBay link.
Blimey that's a **** load of cash for a small sticker.
Agreed, those people who can justify spending that much on a sticker are gonna be collectors and coin nuts who are buying them for personal reasons.

So buyer did only buy it to sell it again and earn some big bucks on them. I hate when people only do it for the money
