Morning all.

I have just been looking at TwistedMetals F/S thread ,with some rather nice looking boxed vechicles and playsets, and he is asking for offers.
I am sure this had been discussed before, but my memory is **** and I can't properly remember, but is there a policy saying we have to state a price on our items as is the case on other forums???

Maybe Joe or Edd or someone can clarify.....

I am in no way out to 'have a go' at the forementioned seller, just curious if you can put stuff up.for sale asking for offers???

Sorry about this anyway mate, if I need too put prices up I will, infact I will do later, since the items are now on eBay for the next 7 days, so would be better if any interest from the forum to be bought or put on hold now.

I've never been aware of firm rules on here, which is why it is such a good site. I can't see anything wrong with established members asking for offers

But saying that the, auction outing rule has been brought in recently and sales may be the same

Ah no need to be like that ;)

We went over this in a recent thread, people are used to the RS - "A price must be stated" rule which quite honestly never existed here. HOWEVER - everyone, myself included knows that listing prices is the best thing to do, low prices or high prices it's still easier for everyone involved.

As a guideline I would say, please try to list prices when you sell here but until such time as Edd turns around and says prices must be listed, you still have the option to ask for offers.

The get around of course is just listing high prices and asking for offers below that if you don't want to list prices to the penny.

In the case of Twistedmetal, I think it is a little unfair if he has a price in mind for all his stuff to not list the prices he wants, after all if 10 people send him best offers under those prices its a waste of time for them sending in the offers and him replying to them just to say no.

I personally think you should have some idea what you are after moneywise.
Items that aren't really your cup of tea I can see people not being sure on...but then you just start an evaluation thread up in that case.

Agreed, no rule on posting prices but you stand a much better chance of selling your stuff if you do put a price up!
