Forum Figure of the Year returns this weekend as we look to find out who is the ultimate figure amongst you forum bumpkins for 2022.
I started this in 2014 and to this point we have never had a repeat winner, so as we head into the 9th competition, surely that will be a possibility this year.
We have seen certain things help influence previous winners, Yoda last year won which wasn't surprising with the rise of Grogu. Princess Leia Organa won the contest in 2017 just weeks after the sad passing of Carrie Fisher. So with the loving 'Book of Boba Fett' is currently receiving will this have an influence on this years competition. Fett a former champion will surely be in the mix, Tusken Raider is another, a great figure who hasn't had much success in previous forum competitions, in fact to date it's best return was a quarter final in 2017. 8D8 has been getting some screen time too and also great to see the return of Max Rebo and Gamorrean Guard which will be hoping for success in 2022.
So keep an eye on the poll section on the forum for the contest beginning, the first four groups will be live over this weekend, with two former champions beginning their campaigns both drawn into the opening group. The Sand People will also get underway in Group D.
I will post in here everytime new polls are up, but go vote and let's see who will be adding their name to the Forum Figure of the Year roll call.
