Forum Figure of the Year 2017 - 1st Round - Group K

Was going to knock this on the head for the time being what with everything happening, but decided against it as thought a bit of mind numbing fun could be appreciated.

the next two groups to me have figures that have under performed. Leia Boushh has had a 2nd round exit followed by a 1st round and then a 3rd round, this figure is far better than her previous form dictates. Han Solo, the iconic first 12 figure has twice been to the 3rd round but has never progressed beyond the last 16. Hoth Rebel Soldier and R2 Sensorscope have both progressed to the second round on one occasion and no further, whilst there has never been any joy for Death Star Droid or Klaatu Skiff from this opening round.

Rebel Soldier - have come to appreciate this figure more and more over the years, ok doesn't look anything special but has a variant that came with a metallic blaster and has a kick ass looking PBP dark brown cousin
Boushh - great gun and helmet
DSD - because Iain bribed me to vote and I'm easily brought

It is fun and I look forward to each new selection you post, posing me the sometimes easy, sometimes difficult task of choosing between my favourite and my not-so-favourite figures! I see no good reason for you to knock this on the head for the time being. True, there is a new concern about baggies which is being discussed elsewhere, but I'm sure I won't be the only one to be really enjoying this pleasant, fun little vote you are holding. Just because something potentially very serious is happening elsewhere, doesn't mean you should feel bad about posting something fun and a lot less serious. So thank you again for running this vote. I appreciate your efforts, and I'm sure so do many others.

BTW, which Han Solo is it? Pinhead or Balloon head? I'd happily vote for Pinhead, but I'd sooner vote for the dianoga than old Balloon Head! ;-)

leia boush - no explanation necessary just awesome sculpt weapon helmet just super cool

death star droid - one of my favorite figures ever , I wish there were more variations on him frankly . im a loose collector but if I were to get a carded figure it would be him , the evilest coolest most menacing droid in the vintage line ...I ****ING LOVE HIM

Pleased you're forging ahead with this, just what's needed at the moment...

In reverse order

Klaatu Skiff- soft spot for Jabba's Goons. Not sure about the hands on the hips stance on the card but nice figure.
DSD- so cool. Like C3PO, but evil. Still can't find a minty one tho.
Leia Boushh- seriously bad ass. Great sculpt, great accessories and HE'S HOLDING A THERMAL DETONATOR.

Some ace figures in this round.

Comfortable win for the Princess in her Boushh get up, but more surprisingly from a tough group the Death Star Droid progresses from the group stage for the first time. Han Solo will be a massive shock elimination at this early stage.
