PLEASE VOTE FOR THREE FIGURES
So it begins, First round this year has 16 groups rather than the previous 32. Each group has 6 figures apart from the first four which have 7. The top 2 will progress from each group through to the knockout stages.
In the group stages you need to select your THREE favourite figures from the figures available, and then like I said the top two will progress.
The opening Group has seen Princess Leia Organa been drawn out, she's never done particularly well in the contest going out in the 2nd Round in 2014 and then falling at the first hurdle in 2015. She did however progress to the last 16 where she was eventually eliminated in the third round to the eventual winner Emperor's Royal Guard.
Chewbacca is the most successful previous figure from this group where he reached the Quarter Final in 2015. Apart from that his time in the contest has been short lived with a 2nd Round exit in 2014 and then last year going out in the First Round.
8D8, Romba and White Bespin Security Guard have all had torrid times in the competition having all failed to get past the 1st round each year. it doesn't fair much better for Hammerhead or Weequay either, both have had 1st round exits apart from one time each when they made the second round.
This group really does open the door for these figures that have failed quite miserably previously, but for two of them they will enjoy Knockout play this year.
