My first car was a red escort f reg 1.3poular.put it backwards in to a field at about 60 on some s bends .no casualties and I got laid as well.all back end was smashed in and since I had only passed 4 days didnt want to tell parents so parked with front facing home . Gets up in morning and mother says can I borrow your car today as someone broke in to ours so had to fess up.......talk bout bad luck.

Think I owned about 18 cars before I was 25 ! My first car as a Peugeot 104 on an S plate (sample below) best I had was a Golf Driver on a D Plate

Was into bikes until about 19. After that I was working in a garage as a mechanic. First car wasn't really car as such. It was a camper van ...a Fiat Amigo bought for £400! Quality mobile.

First proper car was an XR3i. Since then there's only been a handful of other things, mostly old shitters, culminating in the Mk2 Escort i've had since 2000. Don't like modern stuff

First Car Daihatsu Charade (Y Reg 1983) metallic blue - reliable, but dead boring.

Like Ian I owned loads of cars when I was younger including;

Golf Driver A Reg
Golf GTI Mk1 Y Reg - Brakes were ****, common problem on this car - basically foot to the floor car still did not stop!
Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6 C Reg - Silver, Go Kart handling, very fast, light, reliable, ****ing loved it!!!
Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6 G Reg - As Above!!!! but Gun metal Grey
Fiat Uno - No comment

Owned all the above before in my late teens 20's. And yes the insurance was high on GTI's but I lived at home rent free so could afford (just)

I've driven all sorts of cars during my life (including some very nice Audi's, Lexus, BMW'S, Merc's, Porsches etc), and the 205 GTI is still the best car I've ever driven for sheer enjoyment - they just don't make em like that anymore

My first car was a 1.1 Ford Fiesta Popular Plus D reg, which i bought off my Mum. I worked for halfords back then so the car gleamed with autoglym and tyre shine! I loved that car.
This was then followed by a Renault 19, a Renault Megane Coupe, then as my professional career began and before the wife and kids arrived i bought a brand new Y reg Toyota MR2 Roadster, such great fun. Then when the kids came along i proceeded to buy more a practical (he shudders) cars.
For the last 14 years i have been loyal to Toyota.

That looks like Mr. Beans car.....and I thought you were the transporter.

First car was one of these, a 1984 Fiat Panda "Bella"

It was a ****ing hunk of junk. One of my mates nicked the passengers seat.

PS, Obviously mine had the steering wheel on the CORRECT side! Rest of the world take note!

   Fiat Panda pure class weaz.

Love the Gremlin Todd, becoming quite the collectors item these days.

This was my first:

1976 Holden HX Kingswood with a 4.2 Litre V8 Gutless but the Brown Vinyl roof was a hit with the ladies.

This was my favourite. Obviously had a thing for brown but this was by far the nicest car I've owned:

1972 Chrysler Valiant VH Charger 770 with a 318 Fireball V8.

Very nice Ryan.
Weas can I remember seeing a photo of you in a beautiful Aston?

My official first car was a 1l 1986 red Ford Fiesta, but I bought it for £80 as an MOT failure and never got it on the road, so it doesn't really count. The first car I bought that was road legal was a green 1986 Fiat Regatta 1.6, which cost me £350 :) It was a total heap of shite and rust bucket, but my mates loved it because it was relatively fast and big/comfortable compared to all their Ford Fiestas and Peugot 205s  It was a hell of an ugly car though!

Ok I'll play & you can all have a good laugh

I was clocked in it at 103mph

My very first almost car, well the kids came along & I could not fit them all on the bike, so needs must.

Then this was my first "real car" when I passed my test after some 8 years of driving plastic pigs, not mine as I don't have a photo, but the same -

Yeah its know as a plastic pig by those that have owned them, but Jabba is way off the mark with the cliff bit, they made a run for 18 months where they were missing a few parts for the restriction of them & some did 110mph, I have had 8 over the years, some that would not top 75mph, but if you drop on a good one they are gold, that was actually my third or 4th one, my first was the salon which had only got 30k on the clock & was mint, but a stupid boot you can fit nothing it like the estates which carry lots.

They were a bit of an oddity for sure & the manufacturers basically used whatever other vehicle production parts were available cheap at the time so they have many many minor differences from year to year, I had to do a 350 mile trip one year with it fully loaded kids camping equipment & all sorts, loaded to the gunnel's it was & I did not drop below 85 the whole way, so like I said, if you get a good one they are gold, problem is for every good one there are 10 bad ones, hence there awful reputation, the times I have had to help a breakdown van fix them at the side of the road is stupid as the AA are clueless when it comes to these, always the bloody points on them jamming open or closed.

Glad to have my plastic pig days behind me though.

They also made sport cars believe it or not -

& if you think the pig is odd, check these Todd -

I drove the pig as you can drive them on a motorbike license, stupid or what eh
