Fett Rocket ID !!

Guys, been clearing out a fair bit of old rubbish from the loft (yes that old chestnut) and come across a loose Boba Fett rocket...plus a few other bits and pieces. (I've not been in this box for over 6 years since I moved house)

Rather then chuck it out..just yet, I'd thought I'd put it to you lot for a bit of identification.

I cannot see any damage or area where it would have been glued into the body as with the usual Fetts. There is a tiny dent right at the top, but the lower portion is untouched. Have attached a pic of both sides. It also seems to be a slightly different shade of red from your run of the mill Fetts out there.

I've checked it against my 2 Poon RF Fetts and it's totally different to those... and I've tried the old float test... which it points upwards !!!

Any ideas guys ??

Hi Mark, if it doesn't have the tab on the back it must be from a rocket Fett! :wink:
The big question is.. custom, modern or proto???

It certainly has no signs of a tab ever being on it as there would be damage. and those tabs are fairly large too..

As for being off a RF Fett.... aren't those rockets different ?? as in number of sides ?? Not clued up on those.

Don't think it's modern as I've not been in this box for over 6 years, and I can't remember how I got it. :?

Check it against a Taiwan fett. The rockets don't have the tab on and some are hardly glued in so come out very easy.

A RF Fett rocket has 4 ridges whereas a production rocket has 8. Your rocket looks like the removable rocket from a Taiwan Fett. Hope that helps.

Cheers for that. I did think Ledy but they all have a tab on them.. I did see a post on RS earlier from a while back with a rocket like mine from a Taiwan Fett..

Case solved.... hopefully.

Rocket Firing Boba Fetts can be either 4 sided or 8 sided. The 8 sided are usually found with the J-slot Fett. I believe the 4-sided Rockets are (or at least were) the rarer.
