I always enjoy people's tales of collecting vintage figures. So my question is what is your favourite ever figure you've Owned and why? And what's your favourite ever memory of buying figures? My personal favourite is my grade 90 darth vader obviously as he is my favourite character. The best memory for me is in 1990 as a 6 year old going to an indoor market on a holiday to Devon and finding a stall full of figures! Mum bought me anakin, bib fortuna, vader, a stormtrooper, chewie, ig-88, admiral ackbar and an at at driver!

I have 2 luke and Han.
luke because he was the hero and Han because he was a bit of a rogue :)
I live in a small village and was at church in nearby town every Sunday morning with dad. After that he went for paper to the newsagents in town. I would spend my few precious minutes looking at the figures begging for just one :)
When I think back they really wer happy and innocent days :)

I always struggle to name my favourite figure...so not going to try!

In terms of favourite collecting stories...

I loved the times I spent going round carboot sales in the early 90's and seeing most of the last 15/17 for 50p each.

I used to go with £10-15 and come back with bags of loose figures and vehicles!

Another favourite is the day I picked up my first shuttle from a collectors shop early 2000's. Had wanted one since I was a child in the 80's. And it was Christmas time which sort of made the whole thing more nostalgic 8)

My favourite figure? There are lots that I like, so choosing just one is difficult. My favourite variant is the Takara Stormtrooper, with the Takara Vader and C-3PO not far behind, because those were the first moulding variants I learned about, and because it took me so damn long to actually track them down. But as for a favourite figure overall? I have a tough time choosing one now, but as a child, I always loved the Luke Bespin and Yoda figures, partly because they were cool figures of cool characters, but also because they came with an above average number of accessories! :D

My favourite collecting story? Probably a toss up between finally getting a Boba Fett figure at Stevenage market as a kid after weeks and weeks of searching, or as an adult, buying a Palitoy Death Star (definitely my favourite toy!) in 1994 to replace the one I foolishly sold as a child.
