I thought it'd be interesting for us fathers to see what we'd like, what we probably get and then later what we actually get, although Father's Day up here doesn't get the coverage as Mother's Day (kids in school are not allowed to make Father's Day cards because it may upset those kids with AWOL Dads).

Want - anything sport related I need, or a Waterstones gift card
Expect - a card if I'm lucky that'll be picked up Sunday afternoon in the weekly shop because everyone forgot

Edit - just realised I'm away camping that weekend so may get a card Mondai in the sales

I had a crap time growing up with my dad....but before he died...I made peace with him...glad I did, got to spend about 6 months with the dad I always wanted...

Must admit I have to thank him for showing me how Not to be a dad ...and that worked

So as I don't have one, I hope I get some nice SW stuff

Well I've been dropping hints about a 4 pack of figures (SW blu ray) for Fathers day so fingers crossed.
That and a day on the sofa watching something of my choosing :D

Blimey more expense

No, my Dad is quite happy with some choc's, bottle of Red Wine and half an ounce of Golden Virginia

When I was little I remember asking my Mum when it was 'Children's Day' :?:
Her Answer - EVERYDAY :!:

  classic

Want a Double Telescoping Vader
Expect to get a normal telescoping Vader
Will actually get a lovely home made star wars card from my very own luke and leia :D

No chance Mumbo, you never know Rich might send you one.

June good to see you mate, where you been bro?

As for my fathers day, I would like some vintage but will probably get the second best thing, some figures from the Modern Vintage Collection. :D

I think there's more chance of Rich dropping the DT gag than sending me a DT Vader.

Vintage purchasing for family and friends is a minefield, I've been brought a potf2 Wally in the belief it was vintage

And I thought it was vintage

No, funnily enough I had already purchased one but it was more worn so I did a swap to improve the quality of your present :D

I've asked for first 12 figures, won't hold my breath
I think I spotted a fett white mail away modern figure at my sons the other day so think that's on the cards, happy with that,

Get a card and carte Blanche with the remote for the day

We will all have to post on this thread what we get :D

Well not expecting much, wife forgot fathersday last year, don't expect anything else this year....

ANd if i get something it's probably some tools or equipment to get some jobs done around the house...

What I'd like for Father's day - 10 minutes bloody peace and quiet!
What I'll get for Father's day - demands to be taken out for lunch (me paying).

In fairness, the Mrs. is pretty good, and I may even get at least a lie-in (ooer!), but she wisely avoids wasting money buying me junk I don't want, in leiu of me buying something (probably SW related) for myself.

I once asked my Dad (when I was maybe 8 or 9) what he'd like for his birthday. He said 'nothing'. I said 'but I bought you nothing last year'. He replied 'yeh, I'm still using it!'. Only an Irishman...
