Farmer Luke DT Sabers ?

Hi guys can any of you tell me anything about original farmer luke dt sabers without letters on the hilt ?

What do I have to look for and what is the difference between them and repro that is not painted ?

I think the best way to learn is to get hold of a repro one (i know i don't like to fund the people who make the repro's either) and when you get it in your hands, you can see and feel the differences for yourself.
