If you're staying at your parents over Xmas, don't forget to go and have a root round in the loft. Here's what I found.

Palitoy Parker colditz game. Played this loads as a kid.

Boxed micronauts. I normally trashed the packaging.

Kit long gone, still have the box and instructions.

Already have my copy of Star Wars, got my early reader ESB now. And a bonus copy of the Black Hole.

The remains of my maths set, heavily used.

Had a stack of Battle comics from the late 70s. Found this bizarre Star Wars reference in the last one I looked in.

Anyone else with Xmas loft finds?

:-)

Nice finds Jason - that Colditz game was great I can't see an ISIS version being released any time soon

I completely rinsed my parents loft about 5 years ago. Something about finding toys and stuff that you've not seen for years. I still reckon theirs a Nikto to be found though.

I actually sold off most of the none Star Wars stuff and put the money towards a nice MOC.

Some nice stuff Jason, that Hitler comic is a bit random. :?

That is freaky I have just seen one of these in a charity shop in Hatfield fro £10. Didn't have time to look properly and see if it was complete but was tempted to buy it.

I remember getting loads of micronaut stuff for Xmas one year....thought about buying again but some stuff is real expensive!

Love this post thank you. I had completely forgotten the hours I spent trying to escape from the POW camp and I had the same model C3PO again I had no memory of it until I saw this.

So, since picking up these bits and bobs at Xmas, I have been looking for a replacement tin for my helix set. I have the original contents, but stabbed the tin case to death with the compass. Finally picked one up on ebay.

The tin is a bit bashed on the back, but then the contents are really worn too.

Here are the contents with the tin.

And here they are in the tin. Note to younger self. Be less stabby!

i would say 'be less smashy!'

Spent a lot of time dropping bricks onto Matchbox cars. It was fun at the time :)

Great finds,

I'm pretty sure when Me and Dave did the Palitoy Archive in Leicester many years ago, one of the guys who tested the Colditz game came and spoke to us. 8)

Cool stuff, worth while going up your Mum and Dad's loft to find childhood stuff. In your case Jason you could say it was worth a stab in the dark. :?

Loved escape from Colditz, what a game. Until it got eaten by breeding insects in the attic. A vision discovered which scarred me for life.

That micronauts Star Searcher is lovely. I had one of those as a kid. Been thinking about getting one again as it's such a cool toy.

I also picked up my loose hydra that was missing some bits. Got a boxed one off eBay with a few bits missing that meant I had a complete boxed one. Would love some figures to go with them but am worried i'm starting another non Star Wars related focus!

I've got quite a few of the figures, they are lovely. Way ahead of there time. But very easily broken.
Just start with the four coloured time travellers, that can't hurt :D
