Explain Baggie's

Ok i am about to show my ignorance here.. so please don't make too much fun of me.. i expect a bit

So i get what loose and MOC are now but can somebody explain Baggie's to me.. I know that it is a figure in a bag before anybody comes out with that one

Baggies were invented by Kenner in late 70's and early 80's so that collectors who couldn't handle the awesomeness of carded figures in 30 years time could still enjoy the hobbie.

If I may (only in Franks absence)...

As far as I am aware (most) figures were shipped in baggies from the country of production to the country of distribution, they were then removed from the bag and placed onto a card...

Not all of them ended up on cards though, some where available as 'mail away' offers and sent to the consumer in a bag, some got packaged with vehicles for store exclusives and some even made it to the stores individually in their 'baggies' for super cheap clearance towards the end of the line...

But chubb's just pretty much nailed it, though for the most part, most kenner (us issued) baggies went in to circulation through store mail away multi-packs where you could buy many figures via the post, which would cost less that buying them carded in store, here is a good read on multi-packs for you -
