Hey all

Thought I'd upload some crappy phone pics of my relatively new vintage collection. It was my new years resolution to ditch the modern - to an extent! The majority of the loosies were mine from the mid-90's and were much loved, hence they are pretty poor quality, but I like them! You may also recognise a few items if you've sold stuff to me in the weeks since I joined! THANK YOU!

So here's the Detolf in its full glory (sorta!), begin guarded by my Obi Wan bear (a birthday present from my son!)

And some of my (dare I say it) modern bits... hoping these don't break rules. I'll remove them if so and we can pretend it didn't happen!

great start & though it pains me to say it both modern displays look really good, Flanders had me laughing heartedly :lol:

I say both as you just can't count ewoks as good in any sense modern or vintage :twisted:

Ahh Ewoks rule! And Flanders was my partner's contribution but it made me chuckle way too much. She likes to slip my son's toys in there every now and then to see if notice. She also likes to rearrange things. I once had my cantina turned into a seedy strip club/gay bar...

Thank you all for the kind words. The modern cantina was my first attempt at having a focus, but still got a fair few figures to go on that one. The trouble is that they tend to be the more expensive and by that I mean £20+ on ebay which seems to much sometime for a modern figure...

Now, I'm rather keen to get the vintage cantina playset and make a sparse vintage equivalent!

Haha and I've got five more modern Ewoks to come as well when my new 5-pack arrives!

I know people aren't keen but i do love some of the modern stuff. At toy fairs there's generally a selection of 'new vintage' for sale. They go for peanuts and make a nice addition with some interesting characters that weren't produced the first time around. Years ago i collected some of the expanded universe books but never read them. Some, like Tales of the Bounty Hunters, contain detailed back stories on all these background characters. I love all that. IG-88 is a bad-ass by the way! :twisted:
