Just to bring this to peoples attention in case you don't read all the mails ebay send you or you have a filter on, found out I had a voucher by chance yesterday.

On the 27th of June ebay sent out to a random group of people vouchers ranging from £20 - £75 as a thank you for your patience during the recent password reset issue. They have to be redeemed by the 3rd July.

Bit more info:

Hope you guys get lucky as well, can't go wrong with free money!

Dan

Yep also got a free £20 voucher.

Beware you don't use it to pay for a £1 item as it's only usable at one checkout so make sure your paying for £20 worth of items.

Well that sucks, why just a random selection and not everyone? Weren't we all affected?

Nothing for me either, don't think it was a fair process, surely it has to be all active accounts and not just a load of random ones, oh well ebay never does anything right

 just had online chat with ebay, someone called Nanchicitean :?

Anyway got a load of cobblers about it being a promotional campaign...so I stated...wasnt it because ebay cocked up and left members wide open to someone getting at their card details...then cue tumbleweeds and sudden end of chat :( tossers

I didn't realise it was random or only for the select few. I can understand it may be too much to give everyone with an account £20, but at least make it along the lines of everyone with over a 100/200 feedback and a high feedback rating.

Stupid especially when it was a form of compensation for the password hacking scandal.

Not at all surprised by the lack of fairness in their approach... Lets think it through....

Fees - now out of control, back in 2001 they were fine, worse and worse through the years I've been on there now they're just unfair
Paypal - used to be kinda cool as a payment method, oddly its fee central... err... unfair
Cases and complaints - we have to argue forever to get anything close to a resolution and no one at Feebay will ever help, but we all pay the fees - unfair
Free money/special discount - no apparent pattern that acknowledges the bigger spenders or most loyal - I'm going with.. wait for it.... UNFAIR!

I'll now step off the soapbox and let the next person step onto it

After all the great work you put in on the recent run and the tremendous result for the charity.....this is a great example of good coming from good

Well deserved..spend it on SW goodness

Great result Jez :D

Fair play to all who managed to get lucky, it's nice to finally get something back from the thieving bastards after years of being ripped off with excessive fees. Now Jez that's just being greedy
