Heya

Basically bought an amanaman on ebay, described as complete. Paid just over £50 for it with P and P. It arrived, the staff was broken, was missing the lower bit and one stalk with the heads on. Would it be wrong of me to file a dispute item not as decribed? If a figure is complete, I take it to mean its accessories arent lacking bits! I wouldnt have paid that much for one with a broken staff, its just complete staffs go for a fair bit themselves!

Thanks!

Not at all, but I'd contact the seller first and explain the issue to them.

Correct, complete means complete!

If the seller doesn't paly ball just file a "item not as described" dispute and get your money back.

Absolutely mate. I argued once with a seller who advertised as figure complete but came with a repro weapon. That is not complete

Like Walkie said - if the seller doesn't play ball open a case

Good luck

Hey, open a case immediately stating the item is not as described - It is "broken" and "parts are missing". The seller will either have to refund you or send you out another one.
You can try contacting him first but in my experience, with examples like this, it's often a waste of time and energy. I hear a lot about people "arguing" with sellers. There's very rarely any need or point. He gets the chance to respond in the case and everything is more open and visible in case things need to be taken further.

I agree with PGowdy,

to add, what is the sellers reputation? If its really good then if they don't respond to the case, you can play your Neg card. I notice sellers respond quickly to that one.

Also, what was shown in the photograph?

Ive never had an amanaman before, but could tell straight away the staff was broken. I checked on imperial gunnery and it looks like it should be longer, and is missing a head, though it wasnt evident in the pic as his arm kinda covers it.

Says he has a couple of others, so might well be up for a swap if he has a better one. Sadly such a new account, he's either going to be **** scared of a neg, considering the flawless start or he won't care. Will give his early rating a nasty look if you do neg him. Might be worth a friendly message to start.

Image isn't clear enough on the staff. As you say, its obscured

His others sold, though they were listed as broken, one was missing an arm. the other had a more broken staff. I dont want to neg him, though will if need be. But I cocked up when I sold something on ebay, when I first started. Something that was stored where another person in the household smoked apparently stank, but I never even thought about that. I was about 18 though, but made sure I gave them a partial refund or whatever. Hopefully this new seller will be amicable.

Its always a friendly weapon to dangle if you have to. Personally I've not had to give one as yet, but have waved it in peoples faces from time to time if they try it on.
