Duxford Airshow Sept 3/4 - anyone going? live near?

Hey i have decided to head to duxford airshow in september , as apart from star wars it is my other childhood facination.

I am gonna be flying into luton and heading up by bus to the show with a couple of mates.

Anyone live near there?? is cambridge the best place to stay while there??

Hi mate

I have been a couple of times - once when I was a kid and once a couple fo years ago. Both times were great and you can get up close to a lot of the planes.

In terms of staying somewhere, Cambridge is a nice place and you should be able to go out for a few drinks in the evening - students might be back by then as well ;-)

I went a few years ago and its a very impressive museum. Masses to see, it is in the middle of nowhere a bit though. Never been to the airshow though.

I have got flights for this at €30 so its an in and out job 24hrs in duxford/ luton.

Basically its me and my bro, we will hit duxford about 10 and then after 6 crawl back to luton and either crash in a cheap hostel/hotel or pull an all nighter.

anyone around that area that would be interested in a Drinkathon?
