It appears that the case was tampered with. There must have been an original though to get the certificate. Worrying that one DT could potentially be graded a few times this way.

i know that this guy sent a dt vader to ukg after this auction ended, basicly he was shill bidding on this auction otherwise he wouldnt have been able to send it to ukg for grading. the short version of the story is that ukg refused to grade it due to this incident.

Am I being daft - as I don't understand what they plan was ?

But why would UKG give a toss what it sold for at auction - it is either genuine or not and it's there job to decide that isn't it ?

But they're only human and capable of makimg mistakes. If it had got up to 2or3 grand they'd have to be very certain to say it was crap.

it was obviously sent as a dt vader to afa who graded it then broken open to be replaced by a fake dt sabre ( you can tell the bottom of the case has been off compare the photo yourself against any loose graded figure you can tell the bottom has been re glued ) it would seem that it was then sent to ukg for grading probably to do the same thing to, but because of his apparent antics ukg refused to grade it, lets face it would you want to grade it only to potentialy have it broken out of its case and replaced for a fake one? it wouldnt do your reputation much good would it. he's probably now sent it back to the afa to have it graded again by them.

it had nothing to do with ukg to start with, read the listing , it had been graded by the afa originaly, then broken out of its case to have the sabre replaced ( hence the very dodgy ebay listing ) the original was then sent to ukg it would seem to be loose graded by them which they then refused. not because the sabre wasnt original but on principal as they didnt want the same thing to happen to a figure they graded as real.

The thing is this guy probably has a real DT that has dropped in value now as people will be dubious. He could have easily damaged it in the removal process. Unless he's acting on behalf of another

Saying that I'd be willing to gamble £20 to take the removed DT off his hands :D

Then what's to stop him sending back from another address? He's from Norfolk isn't he so he'd have plenty of relatives.

Oi cheeky !

He's actually from Ipswich - which is in Suffolk -not Norfolk - and although we are inbred in Ipswich we are nowhere near as inbred as this lot from Norfolk

the thing is if he sent it back to the afa to be re graded then re listed it normaly without all the bullshit it would probably sell for a lot of cash regardless of his previous auction antics which is what brought all the attention in the first place, yes most collectors would probably keep it at arms length but it would no doubt sell, my personal take on it is that he came out with the bullshit to cover his arse when someone found out itd been opened and replaced but realising hed been rumbled early on he shill bidded it up to get the auction started but no one bit.
