I don't know what way FIFA vote on a new President, I'm sure it's probably done in private and only the winner is announced not the break down of the voting, but I know all the other associations CONCACAF etc, all support him standing again. So UEFA may well find itself out voted, assuming they are all as united in their opposition to him as they claim to be.
I agree he and his entire organisation are corrupt, but I suspect he may well stick around for another term. That gravy train is hard to get off! Besides what corrupt official is going to vote for someone who is going to come in clean it up and point out all their dirty little back handers!?
As for the Qatar 2022 thing. I never understood how they won without cheating. The temperature was always going to be an issue. It's just impossible to play a game in that country in the summer, so why go there? This whole moving it to the winter thing was an after thought when the world pointing out what a ****ing stupid decision it was. FIFA were happy enough to play a WC in 45 degree heat with 100% humidity.
As part of the application process all applicant countries were required to supply a feasibility report, yet the FIFA executives admitted not one of them even looked at a single one of them. Why make it requirement and then ignore it?
Then there was the whole, "we want to have the WC in a country or region that it hasn't been to before!" Very laudable. But who did Qatar beat................Australia!
Number of WC's held in Oz or Australasia......none!
It's a sports mad country, Qatar isn't. It has dozens of large stadiums spread across the country, Qatar hasn't. It's shown it can host large sporting events before, Qatar hasn't. It played by the rules, Qatar didn't!
I'd also be looking at how Russia got 2018 as well!
But as FIFA refuse to release details of who voted for who we'll never know. That in and of itself is inviting corruption. The delegates take all sorts of bribes, be it money, offers of friendly games, or support for youth development schemes etc, and then go and vote for whoever they want and come back and tell every organisation they got a favour from that they voted for them.
England were promised 4 votes excluding their own and ended up with 2 (one being their own). Yet all four of those who said they would vote for them, still claim they did.
