Anyone know the current going rate for an original r2d2 pop up lightsaber weapon (no figure)
I had a wee lucky find earlier in year and it's been verified original by other members on here.
I reckon I'll be likely looking to sell in the new year (unless I luck out and find an R2!) but I've heard prices ranging anywhere from £120 to £150 ish
I don't want to over price it but nor do I want to undersell myself so looking to see if folks know it's current market price.

Cheers :D

Too much if you ask me. 150 quid for a little lightsaber accessory!? Nuts. You'd be best off looking on Star Wars tracker, that may tell you what any have sold for recently. In the current climate I don't think you'll struggle to shift it.

Word of warning, if you sell on ebay there's a risk the buyer will switch it for a repro and open a case.
You're better off selling here.

Absolutely ridiculous...

I need one and thought I'd managed to finally get one on Facebook (before I left). The guy had quite a few, as well as thousands of other genuine weapons, so I thought they would be a decent price  He wanted £120

Pretty much resigned to not getting one now.

I echo this. eBay would be a HUGE risk to you for being scammed. Avoid it. These days they place the seller at huge risk and never do ANYTHING to help you.

Yeah I've been warned about ebay so wouldn't do it there. Lowest I've heard the sabers valued at was £90, most was £150. I've seen them go for £120.
I know, I'm even flabbergasted at valuations but if premium figures command thousands of pounds I guess it's kind of all relative!
I most certainly don't want to rip anyone off but I also don't want to do myself discredit in a market that seems to be commanded supply and demand.
I won't be doing anything till I'm comfortable and confident with an asking price.
Thanks for all the input guys!

IMO - the price is high because there are so many repros (fake) out there and people willing to pay a premium to get an original.

I bought a genuine sabre from ebay about 3 months ago for £85. Sounds bloody ridiculous and if you'd have told me I'd be spending that on just the sabre 12 months ago I would have slapped you for being so stupid - now who's the more foolish? The fool or the fool that follows him?

I'm glad I still have my R2 + Sabre from when I were a kid,I don't collect Vintage that much mainly because of the prices,I'm not that clued up on what goes for what price but some prices I've seen certainly make my eyes water

Selling on eBay and then getting a case opened for a switched repro saber would be awful. Not sure you could defend it either as the buyer gets most rights. This is the real unfortunate side of the hobby.

Still available apparently!!
