Complete U90 Collection!

It's hard to work out from his listing, but I think there are 106 figures in total with all the variations included making it a whopping BIN £471 per figure.

Anyone any ideas what a realistic price for a similar set of AFA 90's would be?

No idea, but WHO would want a loose figure without the U grade!? That's SOOOO last season!

Hard to believe - someone ruined an entire set of carded figures to do this.
NO the really sick thing is probably half a dozen (at least) 'sets' of carded figures were destroyed because not all of them would have come back as U90s so more would have been sent in until he got all the U90s he wanted. And now the **** doesn't even want them anymore
I'm pretty sure Brians toys were selling full sets of 85s for $5000. And to date I've not seen a difference between an 85 or 90 other than through a freakin magnifying glass.

Is there really much of a difference between 80/85/90!?
Unless you look super close surely an 80 is all but identical to a 90!?

Hey lets take this Vinyl Cape Jawa off his original card and remove this Blue Snag from his sealed baggie!

This is neanderthal behaviour!

You think at that price he would even chuck in free delivery not 499 quid Lmao

I remember the sellers name , definitely a big seller even when I was using ebay regularly (early 00'S) had no idea they were into U grades.

For that money I would have bought a house over here, essentially a loose MINT set should never cost you more than 2000 GBP, and that would be if you overspent on figures to be really minty.

It's definitely a shame to think about what it represents, 100's of figures destroyed for some over hyped overpriced fad. :(

The seller is called Dave, he's been around a long time.
I have spoken to him quite a few times and he's a nice guy.

He's been putting that set together for a long long time, last time we spoke he was still a few short. He also did say he regretted starting it due to costs etc. I dread to think how much he has spent on the set....crazy/

However nice guy or not it still makes my blood boil to think of how many nice peices have been destroyed for that set.
An AFA 85/90 set would be just as nice and at a fraction of the price.

He will never get that kind of money on it, sorry but even at half the price thats a complete tool of an investment.

That's gonna be the crushing reality in the coming years when people get fed up yet can't recoup what they put in!

Dare we say I told you so ? :?

Well im hoping it hits them hard in the pocket tbh.

Serves them right for being so destructive to our hobby.

A good collecting friend of mine is a U grade collector, and i know he regretts spending all his ££££ on a label with a big U on it.

I can't help but feel a little smug, it was obvious that the bottom was going to crash out of the U market.

Very true.
I wonder if it does sell (my money is on a deal outside Ebay) how much it will go for and how much of a loss he will have to take on it!

I think the bit that really takes the piss is the £500 for parcelfarce to deliver it in 24 hours. I could buy a car, fill it with petrol and drive over to get it in less time/money than it would take parcelfarce to deliver it.

:D

 And you would have a fair bit of change from that too!
