OK
this is more a curiosity question but i am thinking about shifting my goal of collecting 1 of each fig on a card to doing it loose. This is part financial but mainly display and space. So my question on the valuation side would be what would a full set (96 + Max and his band) cost loose and complete, i already know i can get a set from somewhere like Brian's Toys for £1500, but i assume there is quite some mark up there.
But asking the question still doesn't mean i will shift having got to 63 cards it seems daft to not finish it off, but that said the last 30 odd are going to cost a fair bit and after it is all done i still won't have room to display them - anyway that's my question.

Condition & original weapons are key here. I think that you are looking at an average of about £5-6 for the ESB & ROTJ figure in good condition with original weapons. The first 21 probably average out at about £12.00 each and the Last 17 I think you can average out at about £25 each. The band should be about £25 for the 3 figures complete - so by my reckoning you would be looking at

21 x £12.00 = £252
56 x £6.00 = £336
17 x £25.00 = £425
1 x £25.00 = £25

Total = £1038

So I reckon about a grand would get you a very nice set. With patience and a bit of luck you might be able to pick them up cheaper, but there is always the issue of condition. If I remember I think Bram has been through about 30 odd Death Star Droids trying to find one he wants - oh and then you have the variants :D

Thanks Iain
Yeah dilemma's, dilemma's. From a financial stand point loose makes sense. i mean right now i am keeping an eye out for the last three Luke's i need (Bespin, Farmboy and X-Wing) but just those three on kenner ROTJ cards, even imperfect cards will cost me around £300 on perfect cards closer to £400 i suspect, which is getting on for half the cost of a full loose set?
Something to think on. Thanks for the info.

No worries mate

It as a game of patience for cards like the Lukes - I paid about £80 for Bespin, £125 for Farmboy and £50 for X-Wing so that are out there

Just seen this thread - glad to see I wasn't too far out :D
