collectotmania glasgow

ive only been to a small fair - mostly dinky cars and tractor toys!

the small amount of SW stuff there wasnt exactly cheap either

ive not been to a glasgow one!

there was a small stall at the one i did go to and there was a stall there with figures in jiffys with weapons, i was kind to point out to the stall holder which weapons were repros :)

its worth a look tho... i didnt come out empty handed.... dug in a few boxes under tables and found a couple of nice variants that went undetected

I'll be there on the saturday (along with the wife and her mate). the Free auto is Rusty Goffe so that'll be 3 different pics signed for me then!!! (I'm getting the wife and friends tickets!!). Just hope they have a Gonk droid pic.

Thinking also of starting up an OT poster pity Warwick Davis and Alan Harris both pulled out. Will just have to make do with the 3 sigs for now.

I had a very quick look in at collectormania today. Got a autograph off Dave Prowse my god he is a miserable old bastard. There was not much in the way off vintage star-wars. There was 3 tables with vintage star-wars on them 1 with loose figures 1 with a few palitoy vehicles and the other table the guy had quite a few MOC ,12" series ,AFA MOC,few playset set and 3 palitoy 12 backs. He was after this for the palitoy 12 backs.
darthvader £400
R2-D2 £350
Sandpeople £325
I did not get a good look at them.

Weasel it was worth £5 to get in There was not much there in the way off vintage and that was the only thing that intested me. And i was tired had been up since 5 am so i was not really in the mood for hanging about

I went and had a great time - granted there was not much vintage about but I did manage to pick up a nearly mint boxed AT-AT (one of the best opened boxes I've seen) for a decent price - also, the guy who I bought from actually lives quite close to me and is interested in buying most of my modern MOC (which is good as I need to clear space quickly!!)

Also picked up a few loose figures (stormies and hoth rebels) for £1 each and they were in decent nick!

I got 2 sigs early on from Dave Prowse and he was in a great mood - very talkative and friendly!. I have also met him however when he is crabbit but you have to remember he does suffer from some sort of bone disease which I think gets worse the longer he sits at a table.

I also got 5 Rusty Goffes for free as my wife, her friend, my mate and his missus gave me their tickets! Result!!

All in all worth the trip and I can't wait til the next one in December!
