Cloud city

Didnt get an email but just googled it, Cloud City are indeed now part of Final Frontier Toys. onder how much that was sold for. Not much info up yet.

Just checked out their stuff, they have a tonne of vintage SW, but it's all in one section. There doesn't seem to be a split for MOC, loose, vehicles etc. In fact MOC appear here there and every where.

Ohh and their prices look a bit BT's to me, but I'm out of the loop.

Just got the email as well, they sure didn't think to proof read it, looks like something
Kenner_Babe and Karen spewed out...

Are you looking at the same page I am? On the left side of the page theres a menu where all the sections are divided.

According to that it happened in 2011, perhaps it took this long to finalise the deal?

October 2011 10/5 - As alluded to on the home page, big news has been in the works. The reason there has been little updates is that I have been very busy finishing up the complex and long await deal for Final Frontier to take over Cloud City Collectibles. That is correct, Cloud City is now a part of Final Frontier Toys. We are working on a new site for Cloud City and should have it up and running sometime between Halloween and Thanksgiving. We are working through the endless inventory now and will be adding some to our site and most to Cloud City. We have one full truckload so far and a few more pallets are expected with literally thousands of Vintage toys with the majority being AFA graded! This is a huge coup for us and a true treasure trove of inventory which we will be uploading as soon as we can. It will take literally months to get everything inventoried, pictured, priced and uploaded. I am very excited about this whole deal. And yes, Cloud City Collectibles will be up and running again shortly. We are redesigning the site and will have it up for business soon.

Here's their FB page which they're pretty good about updates.

It was I think around mid last year that I first heard them mention about having stock from Cloud City and that they were going to be adding it to their site. I agree that the prices are quite a bit like BTs, but the owner, Frank, has always been quick to answer any questions I've had about some of the items.

Surprised to see they sell reproduction capes and guns and Imo does look overpriced, but only looked at a few loose figures and what do I know anyway

You could be right, i just had a quick look.
Agreed on their proof reading skills though.

Is that store still going? They have some great items some of which aren't too expensive 8)

I could of sworn that Brians Toys already purchased Cloud city, unless I am missing something here?

Final frontier toys are superb to deal with, that Frank bloke is sound as a pound...

Yeh Frank Bray is a v nice decent guy!

Have to say I think his top graded AFA pieces are v expensive but then on paper he does pay top dollar to acquire these pieces!

Thats what I thought as well, infact I was sure they purchased Cloud City about 2-3 years ago? mmmmm got me thinking now.

Just checked their website, some decent prices on NON Graded MOCs, the Graded MOCs seem to be rather pricey to say the least, and the ungraded MOCs being a decent price would they have failed or fail grading due to touch ups ect? Always wary of that when a site/seller sells large quantities of graded at a permium price, then decent prices for ungraded.

On the Brians Toys front i took the plung on half a dozen of their ungraded MOC's over the last few months, some said C3 but when they started to turn up they were conciderbly better, waiting on four more to show up now but for whatever reason they seem to be decent figures at decent prices. My guess is, that as a company they want to push more graded stuff and these are the items that wouldn't cut it so they are just looking to offload them ASAP?

I haven't dealt with Frank in years, but when I did, he was very easy to deal with, spot on or even harsher than needed on his grading (for ungraded stuff obviously) and willing to work with you on decent sized purchases.

Meant to post this email that I received from them on March 1st. I had also remember BTs buying Cloud City, so I have no clue what actually happened behind the scenes.

Greetings Cloud City and Final Frontier customers! I write you today with the announcement that Final Frontier Toys has bought out Cloud City Collectibles! I am aware that it has been some time since you last heard from Cloud City Collectibles so I am emailing you today to update the status of the company.

Some of you are aware that we took over the company and its inventory a little over a year ago. At that time we received the seemingly endless inventory that had been forgotten in a warehouse. An entire semi-truck of Vintage toys (literally) arrived at our warehouse and we have been working through it since. I am delighted to say that we are just about finished and have the inventory photographed, priced and out for sale. We debated relaunching http://www.cloudcity.com and endeavored to do so but had numerous website technical issues and have decided to simply combine our inventories into one massive site. As a result Cloud City will now become part of http://www.finalfrontiertoys.com. With that inventory added to our Vintage toys we have, by far, the largest selection in the industry. Check out our selection of Vintage Star Wars, GI Joe, Transformers, He-Man Masters of the Universe, Battlestar Galactica, Black Hole, Buck Rogers, Indiana Jones, Crystar, GoBots, Micronauts, Mego, Robotech, Super Heroes, Star Trek, Shogun Warriors, Voltron and so much more. You will find a most impressive array of High Grade Collectibles with hundreds of AFA graded examples to the most budget minded collectors as well as loose figures and vehicles/playsets.

To commemorate this great event we have put hundreds of items on sale on the site. Most of those items are 50% off for the next few weeks and more will be added for the next week. To find these quickly use the search box or advanced search features and type in LG for Star Trek items and ACER for all other Vintage toys. These searches will find the sale items only. We will be posting more sale items all through March. Keep checking for updates on our Facebook page which has links in this email as well as on our website. There are special sales and announcements only posted on the Facebook page so keep checking. Further we will be extending an extra 10% Off SALE using the coupon code CLOUDCITY. That sale will run until Saturday March 16, 2013.

I want to welcome all Cloud City customers to Final Frontier Toys. You will always find the finest selection of Vintage toys, a strong emphasis on quality customer service, extreme care and effort to ship your items quickly and professionally and my personal backing of al litems we sell. We have been one of this industry's leaders since 1994 and will continue to do so with your support. As we have always done in the past, much like Cloud City, we also buy Vintage toys. Check out our buying list on the website for an idea of the prices we pay for quality Vintage toys.

If you ever have any questions feel free to contact me or one of our staff. I am always available through email and answer all Vintage related questions myself. As well as emails you can call us at 218-837-6565. We are all very excited about this addition to our company. I look forward to doing business with you all in the near future!

Frank Bray
