I know this isn't the correct place for this, but I will post in here and then if it gets moved, then so be it,
if anyone has been reading the modern sections especially the LEGO you will know I undertook a project of selling off a young lad's Star Wars collection.
Ashley had just turned 18 when he was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour in the summer of 2013. Due to family circumstances he was raised by his loving Grandparents who spoilt him, their only grandchild. Ashley lost his battle this April. He was a troubled lad in his early teen years but he really matured into a superstar helping out everyone and anyone at the local Lillington Free Church. His last act of generosity was sleeping out rough to raise almost £1k for local homeless charities, against the wishes of the doctors. He also helped me with a football event, when a goalkeeper failed to turn up for a Beat the goalie event, Ash stepped in. He was atrocious but his enthusiasm to help was remembered. I don't think he saved a shot - he did point out the event was 'beat the goalie' - LOL.
I volunteered to clear his stuff because as most will know who have lost someone its extremely hard seeing reminders- and there are plenty of them.
He had over 100 LEGO sets (over 50 Star Wars ones). Slowly I'm getting through them, assembling from the boxes of lego which Ive now sorted into bags. Currently I've made over £400 for the family and I'm just now assembling the Y-Wing attack fighter before selling that. The money raised will go to something local maybe helping with the church, or the charity.
He was also a mad keen Star Wars fan. When I spoke to him I always tried to steer him towards the OT. I've found loads of star wars bits and pieces, toys, transformers, books, darth vader plug in game, darth vader helmet voice changer.. etc.
So.. what reason for this message?. I was trying to get rid of the DVDs and CDs but with music magpie and sites like that, I thought there was little point with the pittance being offerred. So why not list them here and if somebody makes a donation to CLIC Sargent - the family's chosen charity, and shows me a confirmation I will send the DVD of choice from this list for free. First come first served. But I will only consider forum members who aren't one post wonders, or if somebody can vouch for that person.
CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. We provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. We are there from diagnosis onwards and aim to help the whole family deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.

Two donations so far. I get to pick the DVDs that have gone to the charity shop (cancer research) which my mum volunteers in.
