Childhood non-SW toys you managed to keep

A companion topic to Edd's "What happened to your childhood collection" thread in the Vintage section - do you still have any of your childhood non-SW toys?

I'm lucky enough to still have:

My Lego car chassis: Recently rebuilt by my Dad(!), he even purchased from ebay a couple of the parts that had gone missing! This lead to him getting the Lego Campervan for his 70th last month 8)
'Crossbows and Catapults' game: I remember begging for this for ages and, at the time, it lived up to everything it promised to be. Simple to setup and hugely enjoyable. I've no idea how it escaped the toy purge but I'm glad it did.
Others included 'Whirly Wheelers' game; Subbuteo World Cup edition; 'Vertibird' helicopter game (again, hours of fun); and Palitoy Talking Dalek.

Pretty much all of these are still at my parents. I really need to make room at my house for them... once I've made room for my SW collection

I have a few board games left, like a very basic 70's Batman board game, and the King Kong game where Kong has to ascend the Twin Towers. I also still have all of my LJN WWF wrestlers, although the ring broke and got tossed out.

The rest of my toys though, are all gone. Gave my Clash of the Titans figures and Pegasus to my brother-in-law, who is a fantasy nut. Asked for them back about a year later, only to find out he had tossed them all in the garbage.

My Clash of the Titans Kraken I stupidly traded in 1995 during the hype of POTF2 for one MOC Leia, who was rumored to have been canceled at the time.

All of my Mego superheroes, including fist fighter Batman & Robin and Batmobile, I used as trade value towards a carded A-Wing Pilot, Imperial Gunner, and I believe Han Carbonite. Ironically, years later, I replaced all those Mego's (and more) for my son, who was gentle with his toys yet got frustrated with the modern spaghetti limbs.

Evel Knievel has disappeared. No idea where the multiple figures, bikes, car, and stunt stadium all went. :(

Traded away my Mego Star Trek figures and Enterprise bridge playset.

I also had three of those glowing brain Micronauts figures. Repto, Membros, and Antron. All of them had broken pieces, and I sold them years ago. I also had one of the holy grails. I had a Micronauts AMPZILLA. Complete, although the limbs were pretty loose. I wanted to keep that - but when I moved out of my parents house, it disappeared in the move. I think it was accidentally tossed into the dumpster, but it had been emptied when I went to dig through it. :( Of all my old toys I got rid of, that's the one I most wish I could have back.

So yeah. Star Wars and wrestlers stayed, and some games. Everything else is long gone.

Ian

I still have all of my childhood Lego (from Duplo through to Technic) and a load of 00 gauge railway stuff in my parents attic.

Everything else (Transformers, MASK, Thunder Cats) went to 'bring and buy sales' or to charity

I still have kicking about my LJN dungeons and Dragons figures, my first 2 Lego sets (blue garage with yellow pickup and a black car with a cowboy driving it).

I did have but stupidly sold them in 2003 when I started collecting star wars, both Heroquest and space hold board games by MB.

I still have loads of die cast vw beetles in my parents loft as they now live in my dads collection of 1500+ beetle toy cars !!

That's about it.

my childhood space lego is at my mum and dad's for the grandkids to play with but otherwise I have a couple of space raiders, my Britains deetail soldiers, two Pelham puppets and Sooty!

Nothing really except for some Micro Machines and Matchbox cars that are mixed in with the kids toys. Parents binned the lot even my NES. Still have my SNES up and running but it's not really childhood, more teenage.

That Space Raider looks a bit like a Chewie bootleg 8)

The only things I still have are a tatty blue bear, not to be confused with the overpriced bears in a well known card shop, just a much loved bear and also came across a box of toy cars, alot of which were still MISB. Now the downside, they were all worthless so are now living in fear of my nearly 2 year old.

Oh yeah. That's something I have - a blue teddy bear that's very worn. His name is Scruffy, always was and always will be. Apparently my Nan found him in a bus stop when I was a baby. She patched him up and I took him everywhere. Loved that little bear :D He's stashed in my mum's sock drawer now.

i have my lego Caribbean clipper boat and pirate island set minus a few pieces. 1 play mobil figure, some random matchbox/corgi cars and 1 loose visionaire figure

Not much. We still have all our old toy cars, I'm not sure why my mum decided to keep those and chuck everything else! I also found a MASK helmet down the back of our old sofa about 10 years ago which is in a drawer somewhere :) But that's all I think, I didn't start keeping things until my late teens so don't have any of our old computers etc either.

Holeeeeeee ****! That's the same as mine ...in a similar condition  Yours has the original nose though.

I think he only survived because my mum made him the top and some trousers. And yeah, the nose on these is like the chin guns on AT-ATs, so hard to find

Interesting stuff guys, especially seeing the pictures - keep 'em coming :)

Ian: I remember prices/availability of POTF2 Leia going crazy for a while - I hadn't realised there were rumours she'd been cancelled. And my brother had the Mego Batman, Robin and Batmobile - I remember thinking the Batmobile was ace when he got it.

Spoons: Those Action Man Space Arms look great MOC. We had loads of Britains too, and were given some of the unpainted Airfix(?) equivalent figures.

lejackal: One of the things I'm most gutted about losing was the stuffed toy lamb I was given by my Aunt when I was a few days old. It got patched up so many times, then disappeared when I was about 13. Found out my Mum got sick of repairing it and chucked it

Ed: I still have some of my toy cars for some reason - including the small Superman 'Supermobile'. I had my Amiga and Playstation until I sold them about 3 years ago - I just don't have the room for them.

.

cheers peekaygee - unfortunately all my action man got sold a long time ago and these are more recent buys (the arsenal kit is 40th anniversary issue).

Got a set of Airfix SAS men somewhere I''ll have to dig them out. I did have some Britians Space from my youth but my youngest put them in the bin

Got quite a lot!
Whole collection of Inpro dinosaurs
Scalextric Formula 1 set + extra cars etc
Most of my Action Force
Marbles
Britains knights, WW2 etc
Possibly a load of Matchbox/Corgi/Majorette cars- not totally sure where they are though.

...and most importantly, my knitted scarecrow called Downy Doose!

A photo from back in the day. My Scruffy with the rest of the gang in a snazzy pink onesey made by my lovely old Nan :)

I still have a matchbox scaletrix type track and cars
Also a box full of battered toy cars that the kids occasionally pay with.
