Hey all,

Probably the same as most of you I had lots of star wars figures and sets when I was a kid in the 80s and have recently started collecting them again. Looking for advice and guidance if possible. All time fave figure is the Kenner Yoda from 1980 along with the less popular (but still awesome) small face Han Solo from the original line.

All the best

J

Welcome! Great to hear you've started collecting. Any pics? You're in the right place- this place is an absolute goldmine of info.

Hi welcome, glad to hear you have started collecting again. Please upload some photos be great to see.

Thanks guys! I don't think I am quite at the picture posting stage yet. All I have is a little box with all my figures in. I'm hoping to find some inspiration for some kind of display however I have a very naughty cat who takes great joy in knocking over my existing (WWF Hasbro) figure display. Any ideas gratefully received though.

LOL I've done WWF Hasbro as well... not even sure why as I was "too old" for it at the time, and didn't buy it then!

Only advice I would say is watch out for fake "repro" weapons when buying. They are common and can result in getting a bit ripped off.

Lol well I'm an 80s kid so absolutely loved wwf back in the day! I've referenced any weapons I have on imperial gunnery and all but 1 (that came in a random bundle) were real so that was lucky! I'm also a huge motu and tmnt geek so this could all get very expensive!

Good choices especially Yoda. So many great variants too (if that's your thing)

I think I will concentrate on collecting the basics first and then see where that takes me. Saying that wouldn't turn down a yak face or blue Snaggletooth if they came my way lol
