Chewbacca?

I recently brought a chewbacca with a green crossbow at the nec. I was wondering how you can tell if its the early bird figure? It says hong kong on his leg but i am sure its not that straight forward as it often isent with the early bird figures and there coos. Any hep would be appreciated.

I think the figure itself is exactly the same as the one that was mass produced. It's just the gun that is valuable. But I am not too sure on that, I'm no expert.
