As the topic states, I have a chevrolet camaro z28, which was once owned by David Prowse.

This can be proven, by the log book and potentially other means. My car is in mint condition, and drives beautifully. I feel it is time to allow another person to love and care for her, seen as I have many other side projects at the moment and I feel it's a waste to let her just sit on my drive.

I'm posting here, not to sell this very minute, but to sell in the very near future (In the next 2 to 3 weeks).

As stated, I would like my car to go to a good home. I couldn't bear it if somebody totalled it after a day!!

If possible, could you please post a rough estimate of how much you would pay for her. At this present stage, it isn't bidding as bidding. It's just to give me an idea of what I can expect.

Thank you very much, and I hope to hear from anybody soon.

:)

Welcome to the Forum. It's something special you have for sale there, but I very much doubt you'll sell it here. Most of the men here spend all there money on small pieces of plastic, and that's me included. Do you have a picture of your car? Does it have a meditation Chamber?

hehe thank you for the welcome. I apologise for not posting a hello :)

No meditation chamber as of yet, but I think one could be installed lol.

I dont know how to put a picture into a post, so I hope the imageshack links are ok.

Thank you very much :)

Does the fact that Dave Prowse used to own it really add anything to the value? Probably not at all. I'd concentrate on selling it to someone who likes 70/80's US cars. I think Autotrader might be the place

I agree with you there, but of course, as I'm wishing to sell it, I want to advertise it in as many places as possible. Autotrader doesn't really appeal to me. I've sold cars using it before, and most of the time boy racers turn up and I know straight away what they want the vehicle for (My Toyota Supra comes to mind, and I still have it to this day). But as a star wars fan, I believe having David Prowse owning the vehicle adds a nice quirkyness to it.

And I can guarantee he did that lol

It's a 1983 Camaro 5 Litre V8. Full tax and MOT. I wont at this present time go into the mileage, but if people are interested we can discuss this :)

hehe not necessarily :p

As previously stated, I sell cars a fair bit. If people are GENUINELY interested, then the mileage isn't THAT big of a problem. But once again, I've had people moan because a car which is 9 years old has 55k on the clock...Nevermind the fact that its a perfect run around! :D

This is the reason I dont divulge the mileage until people let me know they are interested :)

The mileage on this considering its age isn't that bad...of course you can't expect a 30k clock on something like this :)

Milage is obviously an essential part for buyers buying cars, so divulging this vital detail is essential

this could be one of the reasons you either have success or not, plus it's just a stupid reason to KEEP information from people

If you listed the Milage with your information, then that straight away would determine whether a buyer contacts you or not.

btw ....... i'm not interested, just bought a car lol
