C3PO variant or re-spray?

I recently won a few loose figures off feebay in the US, one of which was this Threepio.

The pics were weren't great but it didn't look like either a Glasslite or Lili Ledy so had it down as a re-spray.

So it lands yesterday and I'm stumped. If it is a re-spray it's a good one. After some online research I'm no closer to identifying what this is and wondered if one of you variant experts or Threepio collectors could shed a little light on what this might be.

He's a dull gold paint finish, no brush marks, the paint is applied all over, even on the inner leg where it's hard to paint. He's fixed limb (so not a Glasslite). There is a HK COO stamp. He cost next to nothing and was not being sold as a variant or anything rare and I paid almost nothing for him.

Any ideas?

Glasslite - These have "No COO" and removable limbs

Lili Ledy - These can be any shade of metallic silver to gold or dull gold. But his one doesn't have the screw in the back.

You can tell it's been sprayed from the finish, it's got that metallic uniform looking surface. Also loads of it's rubbed off which prob means an amateur job rather than done professionally in a factory. :?:
