Buzzing!!

i am gonna be buzzing soon ,, as i have only 4 figs to go to complete what i now call the "the classic 77" which is a a loose run with out the last 17 (for now)
And those 4 are in the post as we speak.

I have only really started this whole collecting thin back in april and tbf i am not too worried about mintyness but i would say over half is mint and complete, and it been fun getting them.
And i didnt even mean to do a loose run but it just happened while harvesting imperials
I suppose i will wander into the weird world of the last 17 now as i already have the yak. :lol:

Seriously though so far it has been cool to open all those packages and look at toys that sent me nuts 20 yrs ago.
Also big up to the folks on here for cool advice and deals on good figs and ships.

But now back to the imperial army mission.

no where to display yet,, so it would just be a shoe box right now :lol:

As i said i started with a strict focus of imperials which is doing well and i love em,
But one day at a car boot sale i found a jawa in a bunch of loose and i never thought they were so small!!

And then the urge to get a few more lots and ebay started to become familiar, a few crafty bidding wars and old fashioned car bootery and i was hooked.
It made me driven,, slightly nuts. checking the saved searches and FS sections for an ever narrowing hunt.

Then about halfway through i did the thing that no one should do if they want to remain a casual collector..... I made a list.

I used a print out of a 77 back and ticked em off,,, i was nearly broke in october :? but yeah it feels good.

If your now after the last 17 and are not too worried about completeness of figures then you should be able to pick them up quite cheaply.
I haven't really been looking for the last 17 figures but have bought any I considered cheap. E.g. These are some I have bought in the last week. Lumat 99p , luke endor 99p, anakin skywalker £3:10, lando general £8.
The only figure that i haven't found cheap is yakface.

Well done steve, it was great when collecting the loose set... They can be picked up so cheap from eBay- some days I would get four or five jiffy bags.... I must have bought three hundred loose figures in my first year. I have nearly finished upgrading- there are five or so I would like to get in better nick, but the majority of mine are c9-9.5.
So Steve, which direction will your collection take now? I remember you said you weren't keen on mocs so maybe 12"? Boxed vehicles and playlets? Coins? Micro? Luckily there is still loads of stuff to collect!!!

Well loose for sure, Last 17 + upgrades.
Then probably Ships, but already have the ones i want loose.
After that no idea,, i like the idea of a focus ,, and i think my imperial one suits just fine. when i saw that pick of the 200 troopers that aussiejames put up , i think i found my direction , massed ranks of imperials.

I am gonna set myself the goal of creating each military section from sqaud up to division then army.
After all its only been 8 months collecting, and i am still quite the noob.

thanks to all the folks who helped me get here (oscar music) to be honest i did think i would just get in and get a few figs and ships that i liked and that would be that,, but i was surprised how engrossed and addicted i have become.

I take back my reservations about the last 17, yeah some are pugfuckingugly but as i never had any they are becoming interesting.

i'd take pics but i have no display space yet and you have all seen loose collections before.
