I have a broken a Amanaman staff here. I would like a complete unbroken one. Would many of you guys glue it or try to find another? Does many collectors glue unbroken bits? I kind of feel if i glue it I don't have an orginal or am I being to fussy? I have looked around they are hard to pick up. I am wondering if I went to sell it I shouldn't put any glue near it at all. Maybe I should bin it as it's broken and take it out of circulation.

For me you have to glue it, it's preservation and will display great. If you ever sell it then just be clear that it's been glued.

defiantly glue it, I have a few imp guards with glued staffs you can always take your time to find a solid one later, the funs in the search, if every thing was easy there would be no fun in the hobby, if you are very carful depending where its broken you can make a small dremmil hole each side and put a small pin inside for extra strength. Worth a go as you was thinking of binning it anyway. it will still display well. I always think its ok to mend things to give them a bit extra life :D

For me I'd carefully glue it and keep it, until such time you may or may not upgrade.

As said your keeping it vintage, and when or if you move it on full disclosure on the glueing.

Glue it and then sell it with full disclosure, I'm sure you'll get a good price and then buy another. On the other hand if your happy with a glued staff then keep it?

Try not to do what you can not undo- so a no glue option for display would be better IMO. Say a clear piece of hose- 1cm long, 3or 4mm inside diameter slip the broken bits together- fixed. If you go to sell- there is no chance of a reduced sell price because you 'botched' it- new owner can choose what to do.

Thanks guys for all the advice I think I will leave it as it is at moment. I am afraid to ruin it with glue. Aussie james you also have a point.

head protector off a small paint brush, just trim it to the required size...that will be cheap and also look fine.
thats what i meant when i said small plastic tube. great minds think alike :)

Interesting idea with the clear plastic tube, guys. I admire the wish to preserve unaltered. That said, the staff is knackered and it's never going to be unknackered. I'd glue it having tried to strengthen with a small piece of paperclip inserted into either end. Full disclosure on sale, of course.
