Bootleg Japanese Star Warrior X Space Fighter Model Kit

Hi Guys, I picked this up in a lot with a couple of other vintage Jap items.

Its a bootleg Japanese Star Warrior X Space Fighter Model Kit.
Box is in reasonable display condition. Some creases, edgewear and general wear and tear, nothing major though.
In side is very impressive, everything is completely mint and sealed. Instructions are included and also perfect. I actually cant emphasize how impressed I was when I opened he box to view the contents.

The model itself is really cool. It has a motor and fires rockets (would have loved this as a kid :wink: )

Anyway I have a small Japanese focus but Im not going down the road of bootlegs so I intend to sell this but I have no idea in value. If anyone has any thoughts please let me know. Also if anyone is interested feel free to shoot me a PM.

It's the more common of the 2 boxed versions of this (from what a friend in Japan told me when I bought both versions from him). The box on this one isn't great, but it's not beat either. There's a slightly nicer one on Ebay right now for $75 + shipping. I'd say that you'd be doing well based on the current market for them getting $60ish for it.

PS: I appreciate that you're not going down the road of Japanese bootlegs, it's the one area that I'm focusing a LOT on these days(along with early US knockoffs), and the less competition I have the more pieces I can add to my collection.....lol

@ Joseph_Y thanks for the info and insight. Personally I would be happy to complete a Takara and Popy run, so your world of Japanese bootlegs is definitely safe from my limited purchasing power :lol:

@tiefighterboy ye I have to agree with you, its very cool. When I opened it and saw the contents I was thinking this would be great to put together. I was also thinking that this would probably have been one of the best presents to get as a kid, X-Wing - Motor - Rocket firing, what more could a kid ask for 8)

I could definitely help you on the Takara front, as I have quite a few Takara 12bks up for grabs. I recently sold my complete, all sealed baggie, Popy ESB set. I think I might have a rough box open baggie C3PO kicking around somewhere tho. PM me if interested in anything.
