Blu-ray players..............worth getting?

Evening all. I'm thinking about getting a blu-ray player. I've got a good quality DVD player, but don't know if upgrading is worth it.
Thoughts please

You can get a fairly decent one for about £45 now so yes. I love mine and dosee the difference between bluray and DVD. Sky hD is pretty **** compared to bluray and 1080hd

what about a ps3

ive got a bluray and they aint expensive now, about £40 should bag you one, they play dvd too so you can get rid of the DVD player.
If you have a HD tv the difference is very noticeable, pure, clear high detail pictures, everything is going that way so i would if i were you.

I've been having the same dilemma.

Was told to get the PS3 as well. Wanted to avoid it due to price and the fact that I'm not a console game player, much more of a PC gamer.

Anyway, getting a PS3 too

One of the big stores (argos? HMV?) has one in for £130ish but I didn't notice the HD size.
