Why does his nose resemble a cock and balls on a cold day? It's even leaning to one side!

That's the one film I've been waiting for a sequel to for years ( as I'm sure the same goes for a few other people). Great news to hear they're doing it just as long as they don't mess it up.

Happy face for the rest of the day :D

Am i the only 80's 90's geek to have never seen Blade Runner, Alien, Lord of the Rings and Matrix? If the fact that i love Police Academy gives me an excuse then so be it, Jedi

Oh dear, you don't know what you've been missing all these years and really need to put some time aside to rectify that……still, it ain't no Police Academy so you may well hate them all

I have to admit, thought I've seen Blade Runner, I don't actually remember it.

May have to rewatch it if there's going to be a sequel

I suppose with something that has proven successful, they have a number of choices...

1. Leave it alone
2. Make a prequel
3. Make a sequel
4. Remake.

Star Wars has had the last 3 (though technically it wasn't remade, just messed around with by Lucas!)

why cant they just leave well alone!

this is what really pisses me off with the movie industry.

Let's be fair Hollywood ran out of ideas a long time ago. Hence we are now drowning in remakes, prequels, and a ridiculous number of sequels.
Given that one comic book/super hero movie once did quite well they decided to make every single comic book into a film. When they ran out of them, they made sequels or just went back and made a "reboot". I think we are onto the third Spiderman movie. I don't mean the third in the series, I mean the third making of the first Spiderman film. It really is pathetic. I wouldn't mind if the originals were any good but pretty much all of them are solid 4 out of 10's.

With even Hollywood getting bored of superhero movies now they are going back and raping all the old successful movies, or those that have got "cult status". Total recall, that Indiana Jones abomination and now Blade runner.

No doubt Titanic two is just round the corner

Blade Runner is a film I need to revisit. Only seen it once, at the cinema in 1982. I was expecting a cross between Star Wars and Alien and was massively disappointed and bored. (I was only 14). Because I hated it so much on first viewing, I've resisted watching it on Video or when it pops up on telly. Next time it's on I'll watch it.

Hmm ...yes ...no? I don't know :?

Have any recent sequels or remakes been good?

The first ones that come to my mind are

Clash of the titans
Halloween (1 & 2)
Amityville

None were better than the original...nowhere near as good in fact.

I'm sure there are others.

If you are the sort who likes to watch the 'making of' and stuff then buy Bladerunner 'the final cut' - it has a feature length documentary which I find fascinating. It's highly likely that on a return viewing you will appreciate the movie in a whole different way. Bladerunner is a stunning film. An absolute masterpiece equaled only by the likes of Alien or The Shining.

Honestly, none that I can think of.

A few have been decent enough, but pale imitations of the originals. If you're going to remake something it should be with a view to improving it, not just to bleed some more money out of the movie going public.

Thought so. That Total Recall remake was on the other night and on first glance it looked **** - too polished, and I bet it had no three titted prostitutes

I found Dune quite interesting, though didn't understand a lot of the background to it.

Is the blade runner documentary available on YouTube? Will have to give that a watch
