Any help identifying him would be much appreciated.

Now i've got him in hand, here's a couple more pics. He's got the waffle pattern on one side of his cape (although I couldn't pick this up with the camera). The armholes are tight. The cape is a colour match to that of an Obi cape.

Many thanks in advance

That cape doesn't look to be right although it's hard to tell the length/armhole size from the pictures. I'm going to go with repro though.

Something does look off about it but if you say it has texture on one side and tight armholes that does sound positive. what doesn't sound so good is that it's a similar colour to Ben's cape as the VCJ cape is a lighter more orange colour (sort of). The Australian Toltoys VCJ does have a cape colour similar to Ben's so it could possibly be one of those (much rarer), but I'm really not sure about the way this cape hangs although the coo looks to be the right one found on the VCJ.

Is the texture on one side kind of a cross hatch one and looks to be the same as Ben's? Here's a picture of how it should look -

From the pics doesn't look right , colour , size .

Good to have a pic of his armhole and a close up of the cape , you should be able to see the cross hatch if you hold it up to a light

Thanks guys. The cape has the tight arm holes, texture, etc... but the edging on really close inspection isn't right. Looks hand cut not die-cut

I think it's a very old ben cape which has been cut down but has been done really well back in the 1990s when it was purchased

Shame as I was helping the seller and thought he'd found a TolToys

Makes sense if it's hand cut as the person who made it probably cut the armholes as well to get the size right.......could be a bit of a problem for the Toltoys market thinking about it.
