I have waited 3 weeks for payment from some French buyer (diximax51) who won 3 graded Star wars items from me.
I have opened a dispute and low and behold with one day to go before the dispute ends he contacts me claiming he has problems making payments from his pay-pal account. :x :x
Says he wants the items but pay-pal have resrticted him making payments even though he admits he can still recieve payments.
Am I being gullable thinking he will pay?
What would you lads do?
If I leave him negative feedback (he has 42 over 6 months from sellers)can he still leave me negative after a dispute and ruin my 100% rating.
Cheers

Lee i would delay leaving negative feedback in case. You can still leave feedback up to 60 or 90 days after auction end. People like that really annoy me

Problem is Ron we are talking Ã'£200+ worth of figures and if the dispute aint sorted in so many days I won't get a refund on my final value fee,and it just gone up a few Ã'£ as we all know.
TOSSER!!! :x

If he cant pay you, the deals off. See the NPB claim throught to the end

Spoons,I've threatened to leave negative feedback and he just keeps saying he wants the figures and will pay up!!
Think I will give him a few more days and then dump him with 3 negatives.
Thing is though can he then leave negative for me even after a dispute won in my favour?
Obviously don't want to lose my 100% rating on this dick!

Forget the negatives, just follow the non-paying bidder alert through to the end. It means that you get your final value fees back.

If you want to neg him do it in 60 days time.

Or trust him to pay up, but it seems a bit fishy to me.

Cheers Spoons,I just wanted check with someone who would know. It's the 1st time I've had a none paying bidder.
Hope it's the last as well it's a right load of mither you don't need.

When you get your fees back it automatically prevents the non-paying bidder from being able to leave negative feedback :D

Guess what's going to happen when I get my fees back???
A whole lot of negative lovin

Worth doin Ron,thing is when you look at his feedback he has bought stuff from Brian's Toys and Andy Davies both respectable sellers.
Just don't know what he is playing at,he could be telling the truth, but if he's having problems with his account why even bother bidding???

Lee, He may be telling the truth. I have had paypal restrict my account before. Had something to do with requiring another credit card account and updating my account. It took almost four days before they would lift the restriction. I would give him a litttle more time, especially if he has honoured his past dealings.

I'd start the NPB process as it still allows him to pay. You have to wait eight days or so and if he pays during that time then fine, but if he doesn't you get your fees back (you have to close the dispute when ebay indicates sufficient time has passed).

Just to add to what I said above, if the bidder doesn't respond to the NPB claim through ebay, then any feedback they leave for you is automatically removed by ebay. So if they do respond, but don't pay, I think they can still leave a negative (confusing isn't it?) :?

Last year I got an item of ebay for my friend - payed with Paypal. A few days later I was buying something (not of ebay) using paypal and it wouldn't allow me - apparently I had reached my spending limit. I found this weird as I didn't think there was a) a apending limit and b) a limit on payment using a credit card.

Same thing happened to another guy I know.
Found out you have to verify yourself (even though I was verified) by adding a bank account. As soon as I did that I could buy things again even using the credit card which is now listed as "backup payment source"

So perhaps the same thing has happened to this guy and he doesn't knwo how to sort the problem?

I'm not sure what to do,I mean how long do you give someone to pay.
I always give folk 1 week and then contact via an invoice. This guy claimed after the 8th day he was having problems with his pay-pal (similar to the reasons above account limit reached and needs to verify his account).Point is it's now day 23/24 how long does it take to sort and says he's had the same problems in the past.WHY??
Probably give him to the end of the week, rekon that's generous enough.

Actually I recall that I have dealt with that buyer in the past and they took an age to pay as well (2-3 weeks) he came through in the end but I was on the verge of putting a fee claim in

Regardless of what bullshit or genuine excuses people give me I always start the non paying bidder process after 7 days of no payment - I do however make sure that I explain that the process will be stopped upon receipt of the money.

Once that process has been started it tends to concentrate the buyers mind and if they are struggling with one form of payment then they have plenty of time to sort something else out. It also means that if they don't pay they get a strike on their ebay account - 3 strikes and the account is shut down and you get your ebay fees back.

I'd say you've been more than generous with this buyer so far..........

Cheers Andy,
The dispute is enters it's final day tomorrow and he has contacted me during the dispute saying he will pay.
It just pisses you off when you see his feedback grow by around 15 points from his buyers in the time since he won the 3 items from me but he can't pay !! :x :x :x :x
I don't want to repeat myself but I'm wary of losing my 100% rating after what DARTH WENSLEYDALE has wrote.
He has contacted me during the dispute and I asked him again yesterday when he can pay...................still wating for an answer...
