Best paint for painting figures?

Does anyone know what the best paint is to use on figures? im making a custom (non-starwars) figure and i need to paint that hands, not sure what type and brand is best to use?

Anyone know or can help?

Systeme 3 acrylic paint would work I'm sure. You would need to mix certain colours though

I havent tried it but Ive some Dulux and a magic marker you can have if you need them :wink:
Seriously though have you tried a hobby shop for model making, Id assume theyd have exactly what you need or could recomend something

Yeah games workshop paints might work being fair. they aren't all that glossy though.

I don't know what the best is, but I just bought some Royal & Langnickel acrylic paints for 99p per 59ml from ryman.co.uk. They were good enough for me.
